 When I die

When I die, I know I will be gone,
and I know I will die all alone;
No one will care, no one will be there,
and when I die, no one will care;

No one will weep, when I  die and go away,
and there is no reason in this life, I should stay;
I am tired, I am happy my life is almost through,
and when I die, it will be a dream come true;

I am not afraid of death,  I know soon I will die,
and over my death, no one will ever cry;
Nothing good did I do, when I was on this earth,
and I wonder, what was my pitiful life worth?

I met a lot of good people in this life, I must confess,
but I am so tired of life's never ending stress;
Now! all I want is to lay down and die,
and to this cruel world, I want to say goodbye;

I will miss all those that I held so dear,
but when I die, never again will I be here;
I will drift off into all eternity,
and who in this world will cry over me? No One.

       No More can I see

No more can I see what is right,
now! I don't know dark from light;
I am confused, I have lost my way,
and I fear in darkness, I will stay;

No more can I see, all the love I once had,
I am stuck in darkness, and I am so sad;
I reach out for the light, I hate the dark,
and to find the light, I desperately embark;

No more can I see ! I am in this cold darkness,
and all the light of my life, I really do miss;
I  brought this on myself,  I can not complain,
and for this darkness, I have only me to blame;

No more can I see, the light is so far gone,
and I know I am in this darkness all alone;
It is dark and cold here, that I can see,
and forever in this darkness, I am afraid I will be;

No more can I see, the special light I once knew,
all I can see now is a dark and dreary view,
If I could go back, I would make the dark light,
oh! I wish I could make everything alright;

No more can I see, I guess it is to late,
I think I have sealed my dark and lonely fate;
I would gladly walk in the light, if only I could,
but the darkness overcame me, as I knew it would;

No more can I see, so my eyes I will close,
the light get's dimmer, as the darkness grows;
I guess no more light, I will ever see,
and forever in darkness I will always be,

The love Of My Life

   I want to tell you about the love of my life. I started out real young, I was married when I was only seventeen. We had two children, and even at my young age, I loved my daughters with all my heart. I look back now! and I realize I wasn't very responsible. It is so funny now, But I thought I was a man when I was seventeen. But I soon found out I had a lot to learn about being a husband and father. I made my share of mistakes, and to this day, I regret some of the things I did.

  Later in time, I tried to correct all the mistakes I made, and I realized I loved my wife, and my two precious girls. But I guess by that time, it was too late, and our lives fell apart. My ex wife and I were apart more than we were together. That was hard for me, but I think the hardest thing was to see what it did to my little girls. I remember how sweet and innocent they were, and all I wanted to do, was to protect them  from what was going on. I don't think I did a very good job, but I have to say they came out ok! My oldest daughter has a great husband, and two fantastic little girls. My youngest daughter has a great career, a loving husband, and two wonderful Little boys. I think my ex wife is with someone who is much better for her,  than I ever was.

  Now! I would like to get to the main theme of this story.  After all I experienced, I truely thought I knew what real love was all about. I thought I had known the best love you could ever know. But! about five years ago, I met this lovely woman from Kentucky. I have to be honest, for me! It was love at first sight. I knew from the beginning, I would spend the rest of my life with her. she has been a Godsent to me, and now I know she is the love of my life. Se sticks by me, through the good times, and the bad times. I love her more than I have ever loved anybody, or anything. I look at her sometimes, and all I can think is she is and always will be the love of my life....

                                                  The Purple Dog

This story begins with a little girl who wanted a pet. She told her father if he would get her a pet, she would take care of it, feed it, and give it a bath. Her father said to her, You know that having a pet is really a big responsibility and I am not sure you are ready take on that responsibility. The little girl said, dad! I know I am only ten, but I promise! I will love my pet, and I know I can love it, and take good care of it. Her father seen how much she wanted a pet, so he gave in to her wishes and said, ok honey, I will get you a pet.
A few days later, he went to the animal shelter to find her a pet. He looked at all the animals, trying to find one that was suitable for his little girl.  After an agonizing search, he came across this cage that had a strange little dog in it. He would leave the cage, and keep looking, but he kept coming back to that same cage. You see, although the dog was cute, the thing that concerned him was the dog was purple in color. He thought! I am really drawn to this dog, but I am not sure my little girl would want a purple dog. finally after awhile, he said, I don't know why, but I just have to get this purple dog for my little girl. So he adopted the purple dog, and took it home to his little girl.

So, when he got home, he told his little girl he had a big surprise for her.
she was so excited and said, oh! dad, I know you got me a pet. He said yes sweetie! I did get you a pet, and I know you will love it.  She was jumping up and down with excitement, until she saw the dog. She said! daddy, this is a purple dog, why couldn't you have gotten me a white dog, or a brown or black dog?  He explained to her that there was something special about this purple dog. He said, I can not tell you why, but I know this purple dog will be a good pet for you. After a few days, the little girl fell in love with her purple dog. She feed the purple dog, and took real good care  of it. She couldn't wait to show the purple dog to all of her friends. When her friends saw the purple dog, they began to point their finger and laugh. They said, where in the world did you get that silly purple dog?  Then they kept laughing and pointing their finger at her little purple dog. She started crying, and with her little purple dog in her arms, she ran home. When she got home her dad noticed she had been crying, and ask her what was wrong. She said daddy! all the kids made fun of my purple dog that I love so much. He said don't worry sweetie, one day they will know how special your little purple dog is.

A few weeks later, the little girl was walking through the neighborhood, with her purple dog by her side. All her friends were out playing on the sidewalk, as she and her purple dog  walked by. At first, they began to laugh again when they saw her purple dog. Then suddenly! out of no where came this huge mountain lion, and all the kids started screaming and running away. The mountain lion was chasing the kids, but! before he could catch them, the purple dog jumped on the mountain lion's back, and began chewing on the mountain lions ear. Bewildered, the mountain lion tried to get the purple dog off his back. Finally, the purple dog jumped off the mountain lion's back, and the mountain lion ran off into the woods. All the kids started clapping and shouting for joy!  needless to say, everyone in the neighborhood loves the little girl's purple dog, and they all think he is a hero.

 Bird Walk

Have you ever had a bird to walk with you?
well! I want to tell you a story that is true:
My girlfriend likes to walk at night,
she  never walks during the day light;

She has this friend, it is a speckled bird,
and this is the strangest thing I ever heard;
But the bird protects her when she walks,
and it pays attention when she talks;

The bird walks with her all the time.
and she thinks that bird is so fine;
One night she sang amazing grace,
and she seen a smile on the bird's face;

She said the bird loves to hear her sing,
I think to her the bird will always cling;
One night the bird landed on her head,
that made her laugh, or so she said;

The bird will fly ahead of her and patiently wait,
then the bird will walk with her until it is late;
The bird is her guardian angel, and I know why,
when she is safe at home, away the bird will fly;

 A Home For Grace

There was this man and woman who met, dated for a while, and decided to get married. Before long the woman found out that she was pregnant. Nine months later she gave birth to a baby girl, and they named her Grace. They were young and didn't realize what all was involved in taking care of a baby. They soon found out that it was going to take a lot of love, patients, and dedication to  care for Grace. Everything went fine for awhile, and I suppose they really tried in the beginning. Grace's father started drinking excessively, and went from job to job.  Her mother began to stay depressed, and started taking anti-depression drugs. Grace's mother slept all the time, and her father would come home drunk and pass out on the sofa. More than often, little Grace wasn't fed properly, or given a bath,and was dressed in dirty clothes. When Grace was about three years old, her mom confronted her dad. She said, we have to do something, We aren't taking care of grace the way she needs and deserves to be taken care of.
So that night after dark, they put Grace in the car and drove to an upscale neighborhood. They stopped in front of a nice house, and walked Grace up to the front porch. They instructed her to only say her name, when anyone ask her questions. Then they rang the door bell, got in their car and left. An elderly couple lived in the house, and when they opened the door they saw Grace just standing there. They noticed she was dirty, dressed in raggedy clothes, and her hair hadn't been washed or combed in a long time. The elderly man took her hand and lead her inside and sit her in a chair. He said, where did you come from little girl? and where are your mom and dad?  The only thing she would say to him was that her name was grace. The elderly woman said to her husband, what are we going to do with little girl?  He said I don't know, I guess we will have to call the police. While they were waiting for the police to arrive, they fed her, gave her a bath, washed and combed her hair. They looked for something to put on her,and found a gown their own granddaughter had left at their house. They dressed her and that is when they realized how beautiful Grace was. She had long blonde hair, deep blue eyes, and a innocent look on her face. When the Police finally arrived, they asked the elderly couple a few questions, wrote a report, ant took Grace down to the police station. They ask her  the usual questions, like where she lived etc. but all she would say was her name was grace. The police called child protective services, and soon a social worker came and took possession of her. She took Grace to a home for abandoned and unwanted children. When they got there the social worker tried to get some information from her. But again, all Grace would tell her was her name. For the next year Grace was in and out of foster homes, but she always ended up right back there. The foster parents would complain that she wouldn't play or do anything and all she spoke was her name.
In the meantime, there was this young couple in a near by town who desperately wanted a baby. But no matter how hard they tried, or what they did, they couldn't conceive. So they decided to adopt a baby and came to the same orphanage where Grace was. they told the social worker they were only interested in a baby less than a year old. So she showed them pictures, and gave them the back ground on the babies available for adoption. They told her they would discuss it and get back in touch with her. As they were leaving, they had to walk through the play ground, and that was when they noticed Grace. She was sitting on a bench alone, and she had a sad look on her face. Even though all she spoke was her name, they felt an instant connection with her. They sit with her for awhile , then proceeded to their car and drove home. That night neither one of them could sleep, and all they could think about was little Grace. The next day they went back to the orphanage  and talked to the social worker about Grace. She told them the circumstances surrounding Grace's short life, and that she was four years old. They ask if they could take Grace to lunch and get acquainted with her. She said yes but you need to know, all she will speak is her name.
They took her to Mc donald's, a place she had never been. She seemed to enjoy it, but still said nothing other than her name. They came and visited Grace every chance they got.,and became very fond of her. One day they took her to a park for a picnic. all of a sudden! Grace just started talking away, and they were in shock!  She started talking about Mc donald's, and all the nice places the couple had taken her. Their eyes were full of tears as they asked Grace why she hadn't talked before. She said when her mom and dad left her alone, they told her not to say anything except her name. The young couple held her tight, and vowed to do whatever it took to adopt her, and take her home.  By now they had fallen in love with little Grace, and she had them too. After a lot of paper work, and all the red tape, the day came when they got to take Grace home. Grace is so content, and has a loving home with parents who love her with all their heart. The only problem is she is so happy, they can't get her to shut up......

 The Ghost And Mrs. Doolin

   This story is about a woman who's husband passed away after a long illness. I never knew her first name, everyone always called her Mrs. Doolin. They had been married for thirty five years when he died. He had been sick and disabled for about ten years at the time of his death. His illness got worse as the years went by, but she still prayed for his recovery. The last two years were real bad, and he could do nothing for himself. She had to feed him, give him a bath, dress him, and all the other things you would have to do for a totally disabled person. Not once did she ever complain, or regret the sacrifice she had to make for him. You see! she was only sixteen when she married him, and he was the only man she had ever known. They had a great marriage and he always treated her like gold. She loved him with all of her heart,and at his funeral,  she commented to someone that there would never be another man for her. She said he was the best, and no man could ever take his place.
   Six months later she was still grieving, and she hated to go Home, because there were so many memories of him in the house. When she was there, it was like she could see him all through the house. Sometimes in the middle of the night she would be awakened by the sound of his voice.  She thought she was dreaming, or maybe it was the medication she was taking to help her sleep. One evening as she was passing the living room door, she thought she seen him sitting in the chair. She turned and went back, but the chair was empty. This continued to happen from time to time, sometimes she would see him in the kitchen, the bedroom, or the bathroom. She thought to herself, either  my eyes are playing tricks on me, or I am going crazy.
   One day two of her friends from work came by to visit, and see how Mrs. doolin was doing. She told them what had been happening and said, I am beginning to think I am really seeing my dead husband's ghost. One of her friends said, I don't believe in ghosts, I think you have just been under a lot stress. The other friend spoke up and said, I think she is right and you are still young, you are only in your early fifties. I think it is time for you to start dating again,and I also think your husband would want you to go on with life. Mrs. Doolin said no way! he is the only man I will ever love, and besides, I would feel like I was betraying him.
   One night she woke up with a strange feeling inside, and seen her deceased husband standing at the foot of her bed. She kept waiting for him to disappear like all the other times, but this time he didn't. She cried out, why are you doing this to me darling? please tell me what you want. suddenly! he started speaking and said, I have been trying to communicate with you for the longest time, and somehow I knew I  would get through to you tonight. He went on to say, I can not rest in peace until I tell you some things. He then said, we had a good life here together, and I alway knew how much you loved me. I want you to know that I will keep your love with me throughout eternity. But now it is time for you" my love" to go on with life. He said I have not been at peace knowing you were all alone, and unhappy. I know that soon, you will find somone who will love you the way I did. He said that is my greatest desire for you, then he smiled at her and disappeared. She never saw him anymore, but took comfort in knowing that now! he was resting in peace. One year later she was married to a good man who loved her the way he did, but she knew he would always be in her heart...
