7 April

A little update just to let people know that I have begun writting a play about a pub quiz.  I haven't thought of a title yet but will probably leave that until the end.  Other then that JENA haven't really been doing too much other then looking at scripts that we could possibly perform in the future.

James.

17th March

An update on what we have been up to.  Not a lot truth be told, but we have come to a decision on our next play.  Instead of 'Marvins Room' as we had planned, we have decided to perform 'Romeo and Juliet'.  This is because we feel that it would be a good for people in the local area to see our talents at traditional and hard acting.

26th February

'Teechers' by John Godber went great in my opinion.  For our first show, I would like to thank everyone that came for coming, and hope you enjoyed it!  Hopefully you will give us your support again for our next productions, whenever and wherever they may be.

The Mart Theatre seats 300 people.  We hoped to get about 50 people, and ended up getting 97!  Almost a third of the venue was filled, and for our first production, was a big thing for us, so thanks again to everyone who came.

A big thanks to Peter Meese for helping with the lighting.  It added a lot, at short notice, to the play which boosted it a hell of a lot.  Thank you, and we hope to work with you again in the future.

Also a big thanks to Michael Holmes for doing the sound.  It added something to the play that I think it needed.  Again, at short notice, it was a big help.  Thanks Mike!

And finally, another big thanks to The Mart Theatre, for first of all letting us hire the venue to perform our debut play as a dramatics company, aswell as helping us with advertising.  Hopefully we can perform again at the venue.

James.

24th February

Just a quick update.  Rehersals have been ok.

Today had our first dress rehersal at the Mart Theatre.  The stage set up looks great in my opinion, and the blocking also is quite good.  Only problem at the moment is one or two lines that need to be improved on before tomorrow night!  Other than that the performance should be great.

Hope to see you there!

Also in the Gallery section are two newspaper clipping, both are similar in content but are our first newspaper references!

Cheers, James

1st February

Just a quick update.

Rehersals for 'Teechers' by John Godber are going good.  Best rehersal so far has been tonight, as almost half of act 2 has now been blocked.  The play is finally starting to come together.  At last!

Some pictures from the rehersals have been put up in the Gallery section.

Also another thank you to all sponsers, Skipton Building Society, Katsco, the Skipton Cricket Club for letting us use the club to reherse and a number of shops around Skipton for letting us put up posters.

Thanks, James

Look out for the poster above.

9th January

J.E.N.A would like to thank Skipton Building Society for donating £150 to us, to help with our first performance of 'Teechers' by John Godber.  The play will be performed on Saturday, 25th of February, at the Mart Theatre in Skipton, North Yorkshire.
