This weekend the band competed at South Gwinnett High School on the Southern Star Invitational. The band and drumline did excellent. The band received Superior ratings in Percussion, Drum Major, and Overall Band performance.

The Marietta Daily Journal recently published a story about the success of Sprayberry Band members through their participation with ALLIANCE Drum and Bugle Corps.

 

Congratulations to ALLIANCE

ALLIANCE was named the DCA Class A World Champions and awarded the High Percussion title last weekend at the DCA World Championships in Rochester, New York. many members and alumni participated in the corps this year. Drumline in the News

The drumline was once again featured in an article of the Marietta Daily Journal. This time it was on Christmas Eve in which they took part in the "12 Days of Christmas" for the Stewart family.

The Band in the News

The marching band took a five day trip to Chicago this year to perform in the McDonald's Thanksgiving Day Parade. The Parade was televised nationally. The band was featured on the front page of the Marietta Daily Journal Thanksgiving morning.

Peach State Competition

On Saturday October 27, the Sprayberry Band Of Gold finished their competitive season at the Peach State Marching Band Competition in Rome Georgia. We received Superior Ratings in all captions including Colorguard, Drum major, Percussion, and overall Band.

This summer the band was visited by a reporter from Marietta Daily Journal. She spent a day of band camp marching along with other members. The band was a featured story in the newspaper.
