Or, at least someone with the same name somewhere...
But this poses quite a problem for CATS fans trying to check up on their favorite performers. Broadway performers aren't the most famous people in the world (I know, we were shocked too...) and a lot of times someone else pops up and you feel really stupid for not knowing that Michael Gruber is a bestselling author. And then you realize that it's a different person completely.
So why not have some fun with it? We're making some COMPLETELY FICTIONAL (obvious enough?) bios for some CATS performers, with links back to the pages these name twins were found at.
Yes, we all know that Michael Gruber played Munkustrap on Broadway and in the video, but there's so much more to this 44 year old than that. I mean, come on, performing in the final performance of A Chorus Line can't possibly compare to receiving a Ph.D. in marine sciences for studying an octopus, can it? Sure, people may have applauded for over a minute after the number I Can Do That, but somehow that must have offended him, because he became a hippie not long after. He also helped Robert K Tanenbaum plaigerize an entire courtroom thriller. Since then, he went on to become a freelance writer and produced five novels. Oh yeah, and he's married with three children and a dog.
After playing Old Deuteronomy in CATS, Ken Page realized that his career as a singer and actor would do the world no good and decided to go into the more paranormal studies. Sending a cat to the afterlife must have had a huge effect on him, for he is now a respected empath, futurist, and intuitive. He's written a few books on the subject and has participated in healing conferences. He also survived cancer. Rumors that it was spread through contaminated spandex was never confirmed. Oh, and he also must have had some heart-to-hearts with Michael Jackson, because he's white now.
