Goth is back. All the glamor magazine
are proclaiming it. Well not in those words. Just in its makeup.
Thick black eyeliner is back for
mainstream. Red lipstick is back for mainstream. Plum
lipstick is back for mainstream. Of course most of us never abandoned
those.
For those of you whom have never
worn a fuck me red lipstick, or bitten until bruised plum lipstick, here
are a few examples of how to ease yourself into reds.
Cinnamon
Stick Lip Lacquer and Plumberry
Lip Lacquer. Both provide a sheer coverage that all you have
to do is add another layer to have a deeper coloring.
For those of you already accostmed
to the joys of vibrant reds and plums, there are hundreds of possibilities.
But editor's choice are the following:
Passion
Red Treatment Lipstick
Kiss

Red
Always Color Stay-on Lipstick
Ruby

Amethyst

Metalique

Plum Treatment Lipstick
Black

Brandywine
Always Color Stay-on Lipstick
For lipliners Cherry
and/or Plum
will work well. When you use lipliner it will help prevent "feathering".
A tip to ensure your lip color stays even though you are consuming drink
after drink, smoking and kissing, is to line your lips with lipliner
and using a soft touch fill in your lips with the liner. After this
you add your lipstick.
Now that you have your lips covered,
you'll want to focus on your eyes. Thick black eyeliner.
The best eyeliner I have found to
date has to be the black
inkwell liquid eye liners with the felt tips. Angle in such a
way as to be able to provide a smaller line at one end of my eye going
into a thick line to the other and with a slight flick of the wrist, produce
a thin curved line at the end giving me Cleopatra eyes.
For underneath my eye I use good
old fashioned regular black
liquid eyeliner. I do not go for a thick line underneath my eyes
because I also add black
pencil eyeliner to the inside lid so my eyes are ringed in black.
Voila! You are the example
of perfection. Of course we already knew that. It just takes
mainstream fashion awhile to catch on.
