Many may know the very lovely and talented Jacqueline Lovell from the softcore erotic films LOLITA 2000 and FEMALIEN. You can also see her in the Full Moon flicks HIDEOUS, HEAD OF THE FAMILY and THE KILLER EYE. She was so nice enough to let me interview her, so check it out.

THE INTERVIEW

Kristy Langford: You have been in some really cool horror films. Do you like horror? If so, what are your favorite horror films?

Jacqueline Lovell: I love horror.  My favorite horror film is Hellraiser, the first one.

KL: How did you get started in the film industry?

JL: Went on an audition for Night Eyes 4 and got a couple of lines, then took some acting classes and never looked back.

KL: What was it like working on a few episodes of the series, Red Shoe Diaries?

JL: Dream come true, to have big lead roles to show off so much of my talent was a blessing.

KL: You have been in a few cool Full Moon flicks. What was it like to work with both David DeCoteau and Charles Band? Would you ever consider working with them
again?

JL: I loved working with Charlie and David.  They are both very talented directors and I would love to work with them again.

KL: Do you feel there is a stigma attatched to actors who appear in low-budget horror or erotic films? Have
you ever been turned down for a role because of your
involvement with them?

JL: Not directly, but indirectly I have a feeling it has hindered me from moving up faster than others who haven't done it.  But I still believe I can move up so I continue to try.

KL: What type of character would you like to play that you haven't had the chance to so far in your career?

JL: Split personality role.

KL: Are you interested in writing, producting, or
directing your own movies?

JL: I have co-written, directed and producted my own movie "Krush the Serpent".  Primarily I am only interested in acting right now, but in the future I may get more involved in directing.

KL: Your latest film appears to be a big change from stuff you've done in the past. What can you tell us
about it? Do you see yourself eventually leaving erotic
or horror films behind?

JL: My latest film "Krush the Serpent" has a lot of religious over-tones and no nudity.  It was a personal film for me co-writting the story.  I still plan to act in horror/erotic movies in the future.

KL: Out of all the films that you have done, is there one in particular that you just regret making most of
all? Why?

JL: I do not regret anything I have done.

KL: In your honest opinion, what do you think of the recent crop of horror films that have come out in the
past few years, whether being the Hollywood type or in
the low budget industry?

JL: I think that there has been too many without quality and it has hurt the industry.  I hope quality can come back into the picture.

KL: What projects are you currently working on at the moment?

JL: Zalman King's new DVD series Sex, Y&Z #2 will be released NOV. '03 which I'm on the cover and featured in.  Sex, Lies & Politics from New Concord was just
released Oct. '03 which I star in.  I shot a pilot "14 Stories" for NBC which may be picked up in Jan'04 keep your fingers crossed for me.  And I have a lot of projects coming up for next year now that I am currently living in New York.

KL: Is there anybody that you would like to work with in the future?

JL: I would love to work with Neve Campbell or Leonardo DiCaprio.

KL: Before we go, is there anything that you would like to say to all your fans out there?

JL: I love and appreciate all of my fans who have supported me through my crazy career!  God Bless you all!
