Jack Russell Rescue

Jack Russell Rescue Service - Giving Jacks another chance

My Wish List

WISH LIST

With all rescue groups we all need help whether it be carers or money to help us keep going and this is my Wish List.

If you can help, please let me know.

Helpers - A number of my dogs are in kennels, so if you can help with visiting them and taking them for a walk, or a play in the exercise yards that would be great.  This is available every day, which ever suits you from 10 til 3.

Plastic Kennels - As winter is coming on I am trying to get as many of the plastic kennels to place in the boarding kennels to keep my dogs warm and away from the cold.  If you see any at garage sales etc and would like to donate them please let me know.

The Kennel Project below has now been completed.

See  below for the  story.

Well with the generous donations from "Kendall" and also "Alanna" organising auctions on a forum we have now managed to purchase two large garden sheds which will give us 4 runs, which will save us so much.

Also would like to thank "Buy a Shed" from ebay who also gave us a great price for them as he also owns Jacks and understands what we are doing.  So please if you are looking to purchase a shed or garage give them a go.

My husband has now started to build them, but this will take time but hopefully they will be finished by Christmas, but I will keep you updated.

The first one has gone up and hoping to put the runs up next time. We have been very lucky to have on loan the wire runs but will need to purchase our own soon.  So any donations towards this would be gratefully accepted.

Next is the dividing fence and then the pavers and we have the first two finished. Well we managed to get one run finished and the pavers down.  Put in a new bed and bowls and hopefully will finish the other side off next week.

The pavers we are getting free of charge from the property next door but have to lift them and wheelbarrow them quite a way to where we need them.

Well after many weeks we have two runs which are finished. Big thanks to my husband who has given up his day off each week to get this done.

Will start on the next two in the New Year.

The four berth Kennel enclosures were completed early 2008, thanks everyone for your help!

We are still needing help with some plastic kennels and other ongoing costs.

Carers - Most of my dogs start in boarding kennels but they are much better if I can get them into homes that will care for them until their forever home comes along.  This also helps me assess them better and get to know them.  If you are able to help in this way, please contact me.

Donations - My group is self funding and usually the cost of the dog doesn't cover the expenses of the vet work and boarding.  So if you wish to make a donation either to the account or make payment to my Vet, please contact me for details.
