• Samus:a master of various long-range attacks

• Yoshi:strong in close combat, most moves use little mp

• Pikachu:well-balanced fighter good at surprising foes

• DK:strong punches and good combo possiblilites with his bananas

• Bowser:very difficult to beat, his armor and flamethrower keep nearby foes off

• Mario:wide variety of moves, well-balanced

• Kirby:can transform to fit the situation, strategic character

• Link:sword slashing for close-range, arrow shooting for long-range

• Luigi:similar to Mario, but a better jumper

• Non-hero chars: Birdo/Birda & SpacePirate/ElitePirate

 

Sega

• Shadow:melee attack type fighter, has the strongest move in the game

• Amy:mallet-swinging specialist, good in close-range

• Tails:great successive hitter and the ability to fly

• Cream:easy to underestimate, but has surprising possiblities

• Knuckles:unique character with some exeptional skills

• Dr. Eggman:very odd character with some tough moves nonetheless

• Sonic:strong all-around character with incredible quickness

• Chaos:interesting attack styles and useful moves

• Rouge:has excellent offensive and defensive abilites

• Non-hero chars: Gemel/Jemel & E-102 Gamma/E-101/E-10
