JACKHAMMER

Classic rock, pop and blues, 60's to 00's

Home

Regretably, as of Tuesday 17th March 2009, I can confirm that Jackhammer in it's current line up has ceased to exist. Trudy, Dave and myself have left the band to persue a new musical venture, which will bemaking it's debut on Saturday March 21st at the Scunthorpe Parkinson Arms. There will be a new website very shortly for this new band, called Orion, at www.orionband.co.uk, and we also have a presence at www.myspace.com/orionbanduk

As far as I am aware, Carl will be putting together a new three piece line up of Jackhammer, and I believe continuing in the blues rock tradition that people have possibly missed the past few years. I'm not sure if he has a line up in place as yet, but if any bass players or drummers are interested in contacting Carl, please PM me (drummerdave), or perhaps Sierra-9, at the Scunthorpe Entertainer Forum at www.scunny.co.uk and I will happily pass on the contact details to him.

Myself, Trudy and Dave wish Carl all the best for the future, and hope that out of the ashes of one band we get the birth of two brand new ones ! On a personal note, I'd just like to say that I've enjoyed my time with Jackhammer tremendously, we've had some spectacular gigs, most memorably the jaunt across to Dublin last year. Carl is a great musician and I look forward to seeing whatever shape the new Jackhammer takes in the near future.

Thank you.
