At first,I thought it was the work of a cafe timer software to disable or hide a certain hard disk drive but I was wrong, it was the work of my partner. He hide and disable the harddisk drive which I don't know and the worst, he lied to me that he tampered the windows registry. Thus, I began to explore the windows registy and with the help of the internet, i resolved my partner's tweak. |

The following steps will hide or disable your hard disk drive. |

Click Start button and then Click Run or just press "windowskey+r". |

The run dialog box apears. type "regedit" to access the registry editor. |

Navigate HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\ |

CurrentVersion\policies\Explorer. |

To hide a certain disk drive, right click "NoDrives" and select modify. Enter the value of "4" (for drive C) or "8" (for drive D )or "16" (for drive D) and so on. Be sure to select the decimal base. |

To disable access of a certain disk drive, right click "NoViewOnDrive" and select modify. Enter the value of "4" (for drive C) or "8" (for drive D )or "16" (for drive D) and so on. Be sure to select the decimal base. |

Restart your computer and see if it works. |

Double Click on thie MaxConnectionsPerServer you've just created and give it a value of "a", hexadecimal. Click ok. |

Reboot your computer. Try to download 10 files using IE browser. |

This thing will not harm your computer but instead, the Graphical User Interface |GUI| Boot which composed of progress bar, Windows XP text and logo will not be displayed during Normal boot. GUI can be seen after Power on Self Test |POST|. |
