Earlier this year JAC Cinema drove up to Georgia and helped Speedy Productions film a commercial for the "Crash the Supper Bowel" contest that Doritos company was having. It was a very cold day, and the location was a big field so it was quite windy.

This Tuesday will be our 3rd and last dance rehursal, unless of course I can squeeze in another one on July 31st or August 2nd. This Rehursal is a dress rehursal and practice for the actors to get an idea of what it is they will be doing. We will also be able to test the costumes out and see if any changes need to be done. At the same time I'll be trying out my blocking with the actors and planning with them where each person stands at what time.

May is a busy month for filmmakers. We had to film a graduation and a play performance in the same week! The graduation was for a private school called "The Learning Center". The footage from the graduation will be combined with the videos we took of Field Day, in June, for a DVD.

The second event was a musical in Chattanooga. We covered "Ruddigore" with two cameras to capture the best moments of the performance. A third camera was used for behind-the-scenes footage.

The DVD of the play will be availiable in our webstore.

JAC Cinema had the pleaseure of being able to film a Wedding this Month. It was a lovely outdoor wedding by a lake. The footage turned out very nice. Hopefully we'll have a Demo made up of it soon for you to view.

The Bride and Groom at the reception

Joe filming the wedding from a roof top. As you can see, JAC Cinema's videographers are very dedicated.

JAC Cinema attended the 2010 San Antonio Independant Christian Film Festival. They stayed at the Drury Plaza where many of the other filmmakers beded. The event lasted three days. They got to see many films and many filmmakers. There was even a special get together organized by CF.org where they were able to make many new connections. The time that was spent there was both enjoyable and inspiring for them.

JAC Cinema has been very busy latly, so I'll just give you a quick update on things.
First we've been working on a video we filmed for the Surveyor Historical Socioty's event. Were editing that right now.
We bought a camera crane! It is really nice and is going to be very useful in filming. Our camera man is very excited about it.
Were editing a wedding video.
Were still trying to work out film scheduals for "A Far fetched Fantasy Two".
In late October were planning a trip to San Antonio for the Indipendant Christian film Festival. A Video called "Entrusted With Arrows" that we were in will be shown there.
Well that's what were doing. I'll write more when we have more interesting news.

Last week we filmed some more scenes for A Far Fetched Fantasy. Filming is more than half way done and things are starting to come together. Several actors have already finished thier roles in this movie and are looking forward to being in JAC Cinema's future projects.
On Friday we had an excellent film shoot with very little problems or holdups. The scenes we were doing was with the three sages played by Betsy, Leila and Madison. Being experianced in film acting, they were able to run through thier parts with little stopping or mistakes. This gave us time to film some extra scenes we were not expecting to be able to shoot and gave us plenty of time to get to our filmmaker meeting that we had scedualed for later that day.

The three sages played by Betsy, Madison, and Leila. The costumes worn by Leila and Betsy were sewn by the assistant costume designer Leila, Madison made her own.

The Old Man played by Brett Sellers. Yes that is a basket on his head.

The increadibly Arrogant Hero played by Jake Scott. He recived both a new sword and a new costume.

I filmed a baby shower on Friday, July 28th. It was my first time getting to use the big camera. Before the shower started I practiced with the zoom and focus a bit to get the hang of things. First I filmed lots of shots of the food table, decorations and presents to use as inserts. Next I filmed shots of the guests talking and playing party games. While they prepaird to serve the food I set up my camera at the end of the table. I then turned the camera on and just let it run till everyone was done going through the line. Later I edited this using lots of transisions to make a time laps. For the opening presents I used two different angles, one directly across from the subject and then one slightly more to the side of the subject. After the presents I filmed each guest individually as they predicted what they thought the baby would be named and stuff like that. I ended by filming guests giving advice and blessings to the young couple. It edited together very nicly and will be a great way for them to remeber the special event. I'll be uploading a shortend version of it later.

Yesterday we filmed and worked with Elizabeth on her Demo Reel. We filmed two short scenes for it, one from "Anne of Green Gables" and another from "Little Women". She played Anne and then Amy. Her acting was good especially in the part of Amy. She is very easy to work with and I had to do very little directing. She also looked adorable in the costumes.
