On the 26th August 2006, Rhodium Arabian's took over Isola Equestrian Centre. Fanus Crous, Isola's new owner is dedicated to the breeding and showing of Straight Egyptian Arabians. Since taking on Isola, Rhodium and its associated staff have undertaken a great tidy up project, to get Isola and Rhodium up and running in a presentable state.
New paddocks are up, painting has started and a new bunkhouse has gone in. These are just a few of the improvements that Fanus has planned for the extensive equine property.
The clinics and events that have taken place since Rhodium took over have been very exciting. We have had Jenny Patterson on numerous occasions teaching horsemanship both on the ground and ridden.
Gavin Morrison has taught a horse starting clinic, which was very useful for starting horses under saddle.
Steve Brady has taken two clinics at Isola that have been very successful, he will be back soon, see our events page.
Waiuku Pony Club has enjoyed the first of their Winter Showjumping Series in the Indoor, which was a thrill to watch.
The NZ Cutting Horse Association enjoyed their annual Futurity event last month, all reports indicate it was very successful, hopefully they will be back year!
