Island Ferrets Ferretry

My Name is Jill Simons and I live In Grand Island, NE.  I have been breeding ferrets since 2002.  I got my first ferrets in 2000 after I answered an ad in the newspaper of ferrets for sale.  We lost one of the girls a short time later and didn't want Kiara to be alone so we preceeded to find her a friend. Our local pet store was not very helpful so I decided to find a local breeder.  Good Luck in Nebraska.  I did find a breeder in Iowa. I got my first breeder ferret, a albino jill, from Jen Taylor-Galas of Black Dragon Ferretry. She then introduced me to Dawn Smith of D'Lightful ferrets and her mom Rose Smith of LOS. I got 3 breeder ferrets from Rose in Sept of 2001. I had my first litter in spring of 2002 and have been hooked since. I am also hooked on showing my ferrets, since my DEW took first place her very first show and mine to.   I travel over 1300 miles each way 2 times a year to show them in LOS National Shows. I do bring any available ferrets with me, so they are usually available at the show.  All my kits are current on vaccinations, they recieve a series of 3 distemper vax  and rabies and are also tested for ADV. They also come with health certificate and pedigree.  I am a ADV NEGATIVE ferretry.
