Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri is one of the most famous Sunni scholars of Pakistan. He is well known for his love for the Holy Progeny of Prophet Muhammad(pbuh) and Auliya Allah (saints).
He was born in Jhang (Pakistan) on February 19, 1951. His father Dr. Farid-ud-Din Qadri was a medical practitioner as well as a scholar of contemporary subjects. Young Tahir-ul-Qadri received his primary and secondary education in Jhang and completed the higher secondary education in Science from Faisalabad.
In 1970, he got his Bachelor of Arts degree from the Punjab University Lahore (Pakistan). He completed his Masters in Islamic Studies from the same university in 1970-72 during which period he won three gold medals including a University Gold Medal for securing first position in his course. In 1974, he also passed his Bachelor in Law (LLB) examination from Punjab University and later on acquired his doctorate degree (Ph.D.) in Islamic Law from the same institution.

Unfortunately, in the past several decades, the universality of Islam has been obscured by stereotyped conservatism. Dr. Qadri with his progressive ideas and better contemporary World vision is performing an important role in the renaissance of Islam. Without doubt, he is a refreshing tide in humanity.
Doctor Qadri is a distinctive Islamic scholar of international repute. He has delivered lectures on almost all major contemporary issues in various national and international conferences, seminars, gatherings and specially organized programs by universities and colleges in all the continents of the World. He has singular distinction of presenting the basic idea of interest free Islamic banking in the presence of a huge gathering at Lahore on October 7, 1992 in response to challenge that contemporary finance and economy can not be run with out interest.
Scholar Tahir-ul-Qadri has read several Majalis on martyred of Imam Hussain (r.a.) and Zikray Ahle-Bayt, Faith of Abu Talib, etc.
