The Crew

Flicka - Shannon's 1994 chestnut pony mare

Hank's One and Only (Chance) - 2003 chestnut tobiano 1/2 Arab Pinto gelding (Two Timin Hank x RK Kali)

RK Kali (Kali) - Heather's 1995 black Arabian mare (DE Ebony Prince x Sumster Tomara)

JB Tee Jay Cody (Tee Jay) - Dan's 1992 palomino Quarter Horse gelding (Ponch x CJBV Fille Croissant)

Khemo's Starrfire (Starr) - 2005 bay Arabian Filly (Khoumsalla x Ammaretta Fire)
We use our horses mostly for trail riding and parades. We occasionally breed one and once in a while participate in a fun show. Tee Jay and Kali are our main riding horses and have been through quite a few different experiences. Chance was trained in 2006 and has had limited riding time, but is doing excellent on the trails so far. Flicka has been mostly giving pony rides and horse handling lessons to Shannon and her friends, but we've had her on the trail with Shannon a few times now and she has been a champ. Starr is just growing up and will be saddle trained in 2008.
Tri Tonto Rhema (Dolly) is the kind of horse everyone wants to have in their pasture when there are inexperienced people around. She's a 1985 chestnut Quarter Horse mare and has been there and done that, not much phases her. She belongs to Heather's dad, Bob, and is also used by our KinsKid, Jamie. She doesn't technically belong to us, but she lives here with the rest of the crew.
SL Cap O'Heartts (Charmm) has recently been sold to the owners of her illustrious sire, many time National Top Ten Winner, SL Capaccino. She is a beautiful and sweet 2004 bay Arabian filly out of a mare that Heather used to own, Queen of Heartts. We wish her new owners the best of luck with her in whatever direction they decide to take this very talented filly.
Ammaretta Fire (Retta) was sold in 2005 to a wonderful family with 4 children as a first horse of their own. She is a 2000 bay Arabian mare, daughter of Kali and the dam of Starr. She is out there disproving the myths about why not to buy an Arabian, especially a green broke one and a mare at that. She's a phenomanal mare with an awesome temperment and we really hope her family continues to enjoy her.
Queen of Heartts (Lady) was sold in 1998 to an Arabian breeder in southern Wisconsin. They bred her a few times and she produced a gorgeous colt by their Aladdinn son and also produced Charmm. She is a 1995 bay Arabian mare. She was the first horse that Heather owned on her own from a foal and trained all the way through.
Mi Tee Thriller (Mi) was the horse Heather grew up with and created her love for Arabians. He is a 1984 bay Arabian gelding and last she heard was living in northern MN, still being used and loved. She did a little of everything with him (bareback, trail, costume, games, pleasure, halter, showmanship, etc.) and he taught her a ton. He was Bask & Khemosabi bred and the best thing ever for a teenage girl.
Suresa (Surri) was the 1985 grey Arabian mare that introduced Heather to Arabians. She was everything that Heather should not have had at that time, beautiful, very green, bred and very attached to the older, well-trained mare that her sister had. very green horse, very green person, tough match. That said, she did learn a lot from her and still wanted an Arabian even after they sold her. Surri had a beautiful bay filly by a Khemosabi son that she unfortunately did not know how to care for. Now, 17 years later, Heather is able to raise the Khemosabi granddaughter that she was denied as a teenager.
Fritz was Heather's first horse, again learning things the hard way, she starts with a young horse. He was sassy and spoiled and probably the reason she is so big on helping people work with their young horses. He was born in 1986 and was a chestnut pony cross colt. Again her sister gets the trained horse, lol. She did share her though. Candy was Fritz's mom, a black tobiano pony mare that was great fun to learn to ride on.

Rhea, Hunter & Teeko
Rhea is Heather's 1996 Siberian Husky. Rhea is great for visiting the preschoolers and giving sled rides, knows a bunch of different commands (that she's really good at following when not distracted) and is just a sweetheart of a dog without a mean bone in her body. Hunter is Dan's 1999 yellow lab mix. He was found running loose and starving in the woods and we took him home with us. He is sure that his job is to take care of everyone and he is right there if Shannon falls down and cries. Dan has trained him well and he's the most trustworthy of the dogs about staying home and not getting into anything. He's also great to take camping and for walks because he stays right by you. Teeko is our most recent addition and he keeps the older dogs young and in shape. He was born in 2003, is another yellow lab mix and was given to us by some friends because thier relatives couldn't handle that he acted like a puppy. He's really a good dog though, likes the horses and going on trail rides when we can take him. He's also our warning dog and barks when someone comes up the driveway.
Fuzzy, Pumpkin & Midnight
Shannon's cat, appropriately named Fuzzy by Shannon. Ok, ok, not supposed to have cats, Heather is very allergic, but she just fell into our lap and she's been here ever since. She's a great cat and a good mouser (pretty too). Shannon can do anything with her and she acts more like a dog then a cat, even better. She gets to stay. Fuzzy had kittens and we decided to keep two of them after finding good homes for the others. Shannon kept Midnight, a long haired black & white male. Pumpkin, a short haired orange female, decided that she was Dan's cat, so she gets to stay too.
We used to have around 30 chickens and loved the fresh eggs, but could live without all the food they ate and the noise when we had 6 roosters for a bit. Dan said "Chickens or Rabbits?" Heather said "Rabbits, but we have to keep a couple of the chickens too." It was a tough call, but we decided on several of which four are left, in picture order. Rocky, our original rooster / Annie, the friendliest of our original hens / Chocolate, Heather's favorite hen / Yellow, the tamest of the chickens. We miss having farm fresh eggs all the time now, but they still do a good job of cleaning up leftovers, spreading out manure and eating bugs.

After years of wanting a big aquarium, Heather's Christmas wish came true, a 75 gallon tank. It is stocked with Rosy Barbs, Plecos, Khuli Loaches, Long-Finned Danios, a Pearl Gourami, Bettas, German Blue Rams, Cory Cats and Swordtails. It's so relaxing to watch the fish in their big tank and much easier to take care of then the smaller tanks actually.
