The Seal of Isarog
Lodge shall be circular in outline and shall consist of the following elements:
inside the circle in the foreground is a green mountain, representing Mt.
Isarog; a blue plain is underneath it, representing Naga City and the Bicol
region; a blue background, representing the sky; a golden-yellow Sun at
far-right, representing Light; seven yellow rays rayonnant from the sun to the
whole circle, representing the three principal tenets of Freemasonry and the
four cardinal virtues; a Square and Compasses at
far-left, illuminated by the rays, representing the Craft; and circumscribing
the whole, in blue, the title "Isarog Lodge No. 33 F&AM" at upper
arc, and the founding year "1917" at the bottom rim.
Circle: As there is neither beginning nor end, it is a reminder of the tenets
and teachings of Freemasonry, as there is no end to the search for that Masonic
Light.
Mountain: Representing Mt. Isarog, whence the Lodge's name is derived. It is
the source of an abundant water supply, and hence a source of life.
Sun: That great luminary of nature, which, rising in the east, regularly
diffuses light and luster to all within its circle. The sun in the morning can
be seen rising atop Mt. Isarog.
Square and Compasses: The universal symbol of Freemasonry, and two of the Three
Great Lights always found in a Lodge. The square denotes morality, and the
compasses instructs the brethren to circumscribe desires and keep passions
within due bounds toward all mankind.
Seven Rays: Representing the three principal tenets of our Masonic profession,
Brotherly Love, Relief, and Truth; and the four cardinal virtues, Temperance,
Fortitude, Prudence, and Justice.
