HOW TO FIND A COS LINE FOR THE PHILIPS PRM80

I had to to set up a Philips prm80 on a IRLP gateway which meant having to find a COS line from the radio to go to the computer in order to key the computer when the radio recieved a call from some one working into the link, I searched the webb with no luck, after a lot of work checking the radio circuit board I found it, and I can now tell you how to find it.

First take off the case, you will then see on the underside a steel cover which is secured with star drive screws, take the steel cover off using star driver, with the front of the radio facing you look at the brown/orange ribbon cord on the right front of you, the first ribbon line on this strip eg: the left hand pin hole from the strip is the one to use, if you check it with a volt meter you well find it about 3v normal and  about 7 v on RX, this well do the job of the COS line for IRLP.

PS, I don't mean the ribbon that gos to the front fasia, the ribbon that I am on about raps around from the top board to the bottom board.
