Investigation of Private Residence, East Mountain, Hamilton ON

Members in Attendance: Kate Kingston, Soosie Forrest

We received a call about poltergeist activity on the morning of Monday January 8, 2007, and were asked to come and investigate as soon as possible.

We arrived on site at 7:30 pm, and were greeted by the residents and their 16 year old son (and girlfriend).  The main floor seemed completely unoccupied by spirits upon entrance, so we asked if we could go straight to the basement level.  The residents stayed upstairs for a few minutes to give us some space, and then came down to listen to our progress.

In the basement level were 2 finished rooms and a utility/laundry room.  On the finished side, the rec room produced no signs of energy, but the bar room seemed to share a vortex of some sort with the neighbouring utility area.  Pictures taken in the area did not reveal any orbs, but there were swirls of pixels as if the very air were being stirred.

While in the bar room, in the dark, with the door closed, Soosie felt a very strong pressure against her lungs and asked to move to the utility area next door.  Outside the bar room, the teenage son was sitting with his girlfriend asking intelligent questions about hauntings.  It seemed he had seen/felt a few things in the house himself!

In the utility room, the vortex was even stronger, and pointed upward toward the bedroom above.  It was the teenager's room.

Kate and Soosie moved upstairs with their pendulums and digital camera to explore the bedrooms.  It was the son's room that stood out, with the vortex spread out from floor to ceiling in front of his closet.  Kate asked to see his palms, and verified Soosie's hunch that he had psychic abilities himself, and that the activity in the house was because of him.  Spirits were being drawn to his new energy, and becoming agitated upon being ignored.

The boy entered the room with us, and was immediately overtaken with an attack of the senses.  He was directed to the washroom with Kate for a few quick lessons on empathy and how to wash away excess energy.  A whole new life was opening before him, which he had not expected, but which explained quite a bit for him.

Soosie suggested that the bed in his room needed to be moved to the opposite wall, so that his head was not so close to the vortex while sleeping.  The family promised to do so as soon as possible.

The master suite revealed the residual energy of  previous owner who had not died in the house, but whose energy was present there after years of habit.  It was suggested by Kate that if they rearranged their furniture in the room, the female resident would no longer experience such headaches.  (She was currently waking up with unexplained headaches and very troubled.... they were most likely caused by the residual energy of a lifetime headache sufferer who slept with his head in her same spot)

The group rejoined in the upstairs sitting room to discuss the results, and attempted contact with the resident spirits through candle flames.  The family was intrigued when the flame appeared to stretch and shrink in answer to our questions, and quickly put the flame out.

Previous to our visit, a plant in the kitchen had been known to slide across the kitchen floor while people watched in awe, and doors slowly open and close by invisible hands.  Since the investigation, we have had no complaints.

No spirits were removed at this investigation, at the request of the residents.
