Investigating locally since 1999

Private Residence, Guelph 2007

January 11, 2007

Members in Attendance: Kate Kingston, Sioux Mitchell, Anna Pavlacic, Marce Anderson

Pre-Investigation Notes:

Sioux had a number of visions which were associated with the forthcoming investigation. She wrote a list of the words that had come to her, for future comparison to actual events/impressions received on site. The list included:

  • George (not explained-Kate’s Grandfather?)
  • heart - irregular beat (Kate had been suffering extreme bouts with her arrhythmia for a week prior to the investigation)
  • boy (Jeremy, previously detected on site)
  • threat (resident’s nightmares of impending threat)
  • drums (native theme)
  • Marcelle (Marce’s real name, Sioux didn't know she was coming and didn’t know that was her name.)
  • McAdams (not explained)
  • looming presence (above the bed, resident’s nightmares, Kate's readings for that area)
  • Annie (Anna, what her family calls her)
  • July (when all activity started in the apartment)
  • running water (Native theme, stream detected running under house previously)
  • rustling movement/sound (What resident explained as “the box in the closet incident”… continual rustling sounds)
  • footsteps (resident said quite often he hears steps, both up the stairs and in his apartment)

Before leaving for Guelph, Kate had trouble starting the car because her key was found to be bent at an almost 45 degree angle in her purse. This was strange enough, as there is nothing heavy enough in her purse to bend a key, but the purse had been hanging from a doorknob since the key had been used 2 hours prior… there is no possible logical explanation for the bending of the key. Intense labor was used to straighten it enough to be able to put it into the ignition.

En route to Guelph, the team stopped at a Tim Horton’s drive through and placed an order for hot beverages for the drive. The total came to $6.66.

Upon arrival, the team met with Trevor Bishop of Guelphghost.org!, who was to fill the role of scientific investigator for the evening. His tools included a digital camera, EMF detector, and pendulum. The IPA team was equipped with pendulums, stones, and their psychic abilities.

The apartment was in the lower level of a suburban home in northwest Guelph, with an entrance at the side door. The first impression to hit the team was that it was steeped with native history. Kate felt that there had been a stream or creek running directly below the house, which must have been diverted when the subdivision was built.

Once inside the apartment, which had recently been the scene of quite a few poltergeist activities, every member of the team felt the massive energy wall contained within. Anna and Marce were drawn to the kitchen area, where apparently a psychic had previously detected a vortex. They and their pendulums concurred. Pictures of the fridge area taken with the digital camera showed a very clear orb, which was in the same location as orbs in pictures previously taken by Trevor.

Sioux was drawn to a chair next to the fireplace, and sat feeling the energy. Although the apartment was hot, she felt extremely cold here, and felt as though someone was passing behind her while she sat. As the team moved about and called out impressions that they were receiving, Sioux checked off ALL of the words that she had written down with one exception “McAdams”.

The bed was a particular hot spot as well, with another apparent vortex hovering just above it. Trevor’s EMF detector showed definite electro magnetic presence in almost all of the apartment, which was unprecedented for this team. Over the bed, it was very apparent that there was some sort of activity. The EMF detector, pendulums, and camera all showed conclusive proof that something was manifesting there. The closer the team got to the bed, the more native the energy felt. Kate suggested some sort of trauma on the land here, with the term “bludgeoning” coming through very strong. It seems the resident of the apartment has been sleeping on the couch for months, because to sleep in the bed caused horrible nightmares of violence!

Anna connected with the spirit of a little boy, which had also been sensed by a previous psychic. That psychic called him Jeremy, which is the name our team used as well. Jeremy is around 10 or 11 years old, and seems to be almost autistic-like. He played with Kate’s hair for several minutes, but would not appear on camera. He seemed to be a very playful spirit, and the resident did not want him removed.

Kate picked up that there had been some disturbance with the lights in the kitchen area in the past, but the problem has since been corrected. She also was drawn to a painting on the wall, which she felt had been painted for the resident, as opposed to the resident having bought the painting. This was true.

Marce was unnaturally quiet throughout the investigation. She was not quite feeling “right”, as if one of the entities was using her energy in order to manifest itself. She did seem to make a connection with the place though, because of all in attendance, it was Marce that the previous psychic was most drawn to (he attended virtually), and later made mention that he needed to meet her. He believed her to have a very strong native energy within her, which he connected to on a spiritual level.

The bathroom also seemed to be a hot spot for several team members, who felt that someone was with them there. For a bachelor apartment, it was a fairly active location!

Main points of interest: vortex in the kitchen (weakening, felt to have been psychically closed off previously), vortex over the bed, still active and very negative, the child spirit Jeremy (still active), an older woman (unidentified), and the distinct native feel to the suburban bachelor pad.

Anna found a dream catcher on the fireplace and insisted that it be moved to a peg above the bed immediately. The team suggested that the resident move his bed out of the vortex so that he could sleep there.

This was Sioux’s initiating investigation, and all were impressed that she had come up with so many details that seemed to be validated prior to leaving. An interesting point is that although her words seemed unrelated upon first review, they entirely matched the group consensus that we were dealing with a native energy vortex. She also noted “rustling sound”, which the resident told us was something that he experiences often, in a pile of boxes in a nook at the entrance to the apartment! We will value Sioux’s input on future investigations!

Marce returned to her regular self for the drive home and entertained the team with many stories…

Our conclusion was that this bachelor pad is definitely an energy hot spot, with at least one haunting. We did not doubt that there had been paranormal activity making itself known for some time now, and warned the resident to keep his eyes open for more!
