Invercloy Loco works

- 4mm scale colonial railway kits

Welcome to Invercloy Loco Works!

Locomotives with foreign connections are an area which I feel is often left unexplored by the narrow gauge modeller.  During the late 19th and 20th century many locomotive manufacturers were constructing narrow gauge locomotives for operation in the colonies.  Many of these locomotives were of a standard design, and therefore could have seen use in the UK.  I intend to build a range of kits which explores the locomotives exported to the colonies, in the hope that they can be enjoyed by prototype modellers of that area, of UK based modellers who want a locomotive which is slightly different from the norm.

This range of kits will begin with a Hunslet 0-6-4T of 1931 which operated in India on the Parlakimidi Light Railway, an NG15 class 2-8-2 built by Henschel for operation in Namibia, and a Peckett 0-4-2T which ran on the Selukwe Peak Light Railway, and now operates as Karen on the Welsh Highland Railway (Portmadog).

Initially this range will be available in 009 only, however I am contemplating production in 3.5mm scale to appeal to overseas customers, and 7mm scale.

I am open to suggestions of future projects to consider so if you have any ideas then please suggest them on the model suggestions forum page.

If you have any queries about the project, or wish to express your interest in my idea then please send me a message using the contact page.

Finally, thanks for looking and I hope you like what I am trying to achieve.
