Fan Fiction and More

Welcome!

You seem to have stumled upon my fiction site, where I tend to write a whole lot of that stuff you fandom people like to read. Though I occasionally dabble in other things, you will probably enjoy my fan fiction if you are a Potterhead or an Avatard (and I mean that in the nicest way possible, of course)!

Also, feel free to take a look at my Original fiction.

Good luck and enjoy! Just watch out for the ninjas...

Aaand... sign the guestbook on the way out, if you will.

A Little Background

I just typed all sorts of stuff here, but it got deleted. So, I’m trying again on a word processor. Anyway, first of all, I don’t post any personal info on any of my sites, and I am knows as Invaderk.

I used to sign as Dayrunner, but I gave that up. I love to write, and I love Harry Potter and Avatar: The Last Airbender, among other things.

I write lots of oneshots, drabbles, and multi-chaptered stories, and dabble in other aspects occasionally.

Also, I love any good fanart, and links to the best fanart (as well as a few other sites) are on my links page.

Anyway, onto the controversial subject of relationships. For the most part, yes, I am a canon shipper, but not just because the books/episodes say so. I don't usually write slash unless it's a joke, so don't go looking for any serious stuff. Actually, no porn or incest at ALL. Ever. If you find slash, it's probably a parody or some sort of challenge fic.

In Harry Potter:

Recently, I have been exploring the territories of the Marauders and the lives before the books. I am a believer that Severus Snape had a crush on Lily Evans as a kid, but James got to her first. I also believe that Snape is a good guy, and refuse to believe otherwise until Rowling herself says so.

(Post Book 7 update: Haha, I was sort of right! Go me. <3)

SHIPS

Ships I support:

Harry/Ginny

Ron/Hermione (A personal favorite of mine)

Draco/His ego

Lily/Snape (onesided, but with an exception or two)

Lily/James

Lupin/Tonks

Dobby/Giant Squid (Kidding, Kidding!)

In Avatar: The Last Airbender

I wrote a little oneshot at first just to get it out of my system, but a backwards effect seems to have taken place. You'll find different genres and styles of writing in my Avatar section, if you care to take a peek at the "non-HP" page.

Admittedly, I am a die hard Kataang shipper. You'll be able to see that from my writing. Unfortunately, and this is unfortunate due to lack of canon proof, I have become a royal sucker for Tokka. I love it almost as much as Kataang, and that's saying something. Sadly, though I like Suki as a character, I don't think that she belongs with Sokka. They've got serious problems as a couple, even though "The Serpent's Pass" made me smile. Oh well. I suppose I'm okay with whatever the creaters have in store for Sokka's love life, as long as he doesn't end up all alone. Knowing him, he'll just end up with everyone.

What makes me sad is that Zutara seems to have more general support than Kataang. Or, at least, the Zutarians are a whole lot more outspoken that Kataangers like myself. Perhaps the rest of them are like me, and don't want to bother fighting with the Zutarians. I personally like to believe that Katara feels great compassion for Zuko and wouldn't mind befriending him, but that's it. Even though I enjoy torturing Aang in fan fiction, I'd really hate to see his little naive heart get broken in the show!

SHIPS:

Ships I support:

Katara/Aang (Kataang - my OTP)

Sokka/Toph (Tokka - 2nd favorite)

Zuko/Mai

Smellerbee/Longshot (Longerbee) [Actually, I don't care much about the Freedom Fighters. Sounds cruel, I know, but I hate Jet. I just like Longshot].

Ursa/Hakoda! (No, I am not even kidding you).

Azulacentric - She's just too cool to be paired with anybody.

Jetko (Half-jokingly. Jet is a stalker)

 HABITS OF SORT

A lot of the time, I like to write in the first person. Why? The answer is simple: The reader can get a lot more information from reading in the first person, or at least it's easier for me to put the information there. Not to mention I don't have to type the name of the person every time they do something. xD

Often, I include a scene in which the character takes a shower. This happens a lot, not because I have a shower fetish, but because showers are great thinking spots! A shower scene is a way in which I can get my characters reflecting upon what's going on in their lives. I can name several stories that I have written that have shower scenes of some kind. One is "The Secrets of Severus Snape". Another is "Lying to Lavender". Yet another is "Blinded By the Light 2: A Sequel". And for Avatar fans, "In Love, Death, and Life" has a bath thinking scene, because I don't know if they have running water in the Avatar world. In one case ("Fire Nation Infiltration"), I gave the Fire Nation steam-powered showers for plot purposes. :D

The shower scenes almost always have conflict after them that correlate directly to the plot.

Let's face it: I am a horrible comedian. Most of my comedy goes right back to things that I thought were funny, but really weren't all that funny. Personally, I think I'm hilarious, but I also seem to stand alone on that thought. I do, however, specialize in fluff. If you want a good fluff, read "The Will" or "Ron's Point of View" or "Helping Hands". Humorous stories are almost always the Challenges, such as Love is Tough and Fluff, Weddings and Confessions.

Twists and turns are always good, like in "The Fool and the Ice" and "10 Ways".
