STORY- Summary

The story is about a half-demon, name Inu-Yasha, who wants the Shikon Jewel, a powerful jewel that is almost wanted by all demons. Inu-Yasha wants this jewel in order to become a full blood demon like his brother Sesshomaru. Inu-Yasha comes so close in getting the jewel, but then Kikyou, a priestess who guarded the jewel, pins Inu-Yasha on a tree with her arrow. She and Inu-Yasha were in love and she thought that he was going to use the jewel in order to become a human. But Naraku, who also was after the jewel, disguises himself as Inu-Yasha and takes the jewel away from Kikyou. Kikyou, thinking that Inu-Yasha betrayed her, pins Inu-Yasha on a tree and she herself dies with the jewel burning with her body. After 50 years, a girl name Kagome is drawn into a well by a demon. The well leads her in the feudal era and on a tree she sees Inu-Yasha pinned with an arrow. Somehow she is able to break the spell that Kikyou put with the sacred arrow 50 years ago. Kagome also discovers a jewel that was embedded in her body. That jewel was the same jewel that Kikyou died with and it somehow got into Kagome?s body. Therefore there is only one explanation for this. Kagome is the reincarnation of Kikyou. She is also able to use the sacred arrow like Kikyou. Now everyone is after the jewel as it is back again. Once when Kagome was about to save a boy from a demon crow that had the jewel embedded in its body, she easily rescued the boy by shooting at the crow but when she used the arrow to hit it, it also broke the jewel into thousand shards. And that?s where the story starts as both Inuyasha and Kagome start their journey in search of the shards. Kagome is also able to detect if any shard is near by which makes the job a bit easy. On their way in search of the shards, they meet Shippho, Miroku, Sango and even Kikyou who is revived by Urasue, a weird demon woman. Kikyou's only goal is destroying Inuyahsa but later on she realizes it was Naraku who did all this between her and Inuyahsa. Inuyasha is also after Naraku. He wants to kill Naraku to avenge Kikyou's death. But Kikyou prefers to do it herself. And the story goes on and so does their journey.
