GOOD CHARACTERS

INUYASHA-Inuyasha is the main character as the name of the show suggested itself. He is a half demon and half human and his goals are to become a full-blooded demon as his brother Sesshomaru. Inuyasha could be sometimes stubborn, but he has a soft heart. During a new moon he transforms into a full human and his hair turns black and he loses his ears. But if he loses the Tetsusaiga out of his grips, he transforms into a full blooded demon and he is unable to realize what is going around him.

KAGOME-Kagome is a 15 year old girl who came in the feudal era through the well known as the bone eater well. She was dragged down by a demon and later found out a jewel that was embedded in her body. She is known to be the reincarnation of Kikyou and just like Kikyou she is able to use the sacred arrow. She loves Inuyasha, but she does not know if Inuyasha loves her or Kikyou. Her goals are nothing but to collect the jewel shards and she is also able to detect the shards of the jewel from quite a distance. Kagome meet Inuyasha pinned to a tree and was able to break the spell that Kikyou put. She is able to control Inuyasha by calling out “Inuyasha! Sit!!” where Inuyasha falls on the ground.

KIKYOU-Kikyou is a priest who died 50 years ago by falling into one of Naraku’s traps. Her duty was to guard the shikon jewel and protect it from getting into evil hands. Before Kikyou’s death, she was in love with Inuyasha and made a promise that she will bring the jewel to Inuyasha so that she can become a full human. But when she was carrying the jewel to Inuyasha, Inuyasha attacked Kikyou from behind and ran of with the jewel. What Kikyou didn’t know was that it was Naraku who was disguised as Inuyasha and tricking her. The same thing happened to Inuyasha as Naraku disguised himself as Kikyou and attacked Inuyasha. That made Inuyasha angry and he decided to go to the village where the jewel was and steal the jewel from Kikyou. Kikyou ran after him and pinned Inuyasha on the tree with her arrow and took the jewel and died with it. After 50 years her spirit was called back by a demon named Urasue and was determined to kill Inuyasha. But later she learn about Naraku and went after him.

SHIPPO-Shippo is a cute little fox demon who is 8 years old. He joined Inuyasha and Kagome after the fight between Inuyasha and the Thunder Brothers. Shippo’s father was killed by the Thunder Brothers and he was really weak to avenge his fathers death and so he stole the jewel shards that Kagome had collected but was caught. And after that, he joined the group with Inuyasha and Kagome.

MIROKU-Miroku is a monk who has the habit of falling for woman. He has a hole in his hand called the wind tunnel and has the ability to suck anything in his path. This hole was passed on by his grandfather who got it from Naraku. Eventually a day will come when the hole will grow bigger and will drag him in with it and will disappear forever. The only way to stop this to happen is to kill Naraku and that is why he joins with Inuyasha and Kagome.

SANGO-Sango is a demon exterminator who is 19 years old. She has the same goal as Inuyasha and Miroku and that is to destroy Naraku and avenge her family and village. Like Inuyasha and Kikyou, she was also tricked by Naraku. Naraku killed all of her family and her village and blamed it on Inuyasha. Unaware of Naraku’s trick she went after Inuyasha but soon realized that it was Naraku who was responsible as the demon puppet that Naraku sent was after the jewel himself. So she also joined the party with Inuyasha. But on the way, she meets Naraku again and learns that Kohaku, her little brother who was killed along with her family was still alive. He was living because of the jewel shard that was embedded in his back and his memories were all wiped clear. Naraku was using him to get what he wanted. That is where her friends Kagome, Miroku, Shippo and Inuyasha helped her. Now She has another goal that is not only to kill Naraku but get her brother back.

Kirara-Kirara, which is pronounced as Kilala, is a female cat demon with two tails. She is Sango’s pet and is quite useful. She has two forms. Her first form is a small cute kitten but her other form is quite scary as she transforms into a large cat and can fly. This is where she is useful as she is used as a transporting system for Inuyasha’s group. In this form, fire emerges from her tail and her feet and she becomes much stronger as she can take down huge demons. It is also believed the she was also Midoriko’s helper, the priestess from where the jewel came from.

*KOGA-Koga is a wolf demon who is head of the wolf demon tribe. When we first see him, he is kind of evil and slaughters villages to feed the wolves. He also hunts for shikon jewel and kidnaps Kagome to help him in his search. But later all of the demons in his tribe are killed by Kagura who he mistakes that it was Inuyasha and goes after him. But later he realizes the truth and becomes friends with them. Koga likes Kagome but later he meets Ayame whom he made a promise too, when she was a child, that he will marry her. He is a real pain to Inuyasha and it is also true the other way around.

*Koga use to be a bad guy but later he became friends with Inuyasha and his group.
