I adore Kagome. Why? well it's that simple. She was a simple school girl turning 15 . She had a normal life like us all, going to school studying for exams, love issues ( Houjo-kun ^_^ ) and a lot of girlfriends. But then one day everything changed. And when I mean everything I really mean all normal things. She met this hanyou Inuyasha and in time she ended up loving him more than everything in the whol wide world. KAgome because of her own mistake had to go around collecting the Shikon shards, fighting demons (though she had never seen a youkai before in her life), use the bow and arrow and learn that she was the reincarnation of an ancient priestess Kikyou and that she had to protect the Shikon shard (she had purifying powers). Hew life turned upside down just in one day but still she had time to make friends (meet new and amazing people but with dramas of their own like Sango, Miroku and others) and play the role of a mother/sister to Shippou-chan.

Kagome is good looking (maybe even prettier than Kikyou). She has a different hair style, black black hair colour and bright brown eyes. She isn't that tall maybe 1.63 - 1.67 I think and is 15 years old. She almost always dresses in her school uniform : a really really REALLY short green skirt and a white top. She knows how to ride a bicycle, shoot an arrow, love "truly, madly, deeply" and most important Kagome knows hot to forget her quarrels with somebody in need of help. She is a wonderful person, almost perfect (but a bit too gelous ;) ).

Outfit

When traveling to the past, and in general, Kagome is almost always seen in her school uniform. The first movie of the series suggests this is intentional on her part, or perhaps the animators consider it her official costume. Surprisingly, series creator Rumiko Takahashi once mentioned in design notes that despite Kagome having a very short skirt the animators were not allowed to show her panties at any time. She always dresses in skirts. Who could forget the time Inuyasha blocked the well with a tree but Kagome somehow came back and said that she thought Inuyasha had died - she was wearing a yellow blouse and a blue sweater with buttons-.

Special attacks and Abilities

• Hama no Ya - The magic arrow of a miko (priestess). Initially Kagome could hardly shoot straight, but she eventually becomes very proficient and her arrow is charged with the purifying spiritual power that she possesses. The arrow would penetrate and purifies any youkai it touches and is one of few things Naraku has trouble dealing with.
• purfication - Kagome has the power to purify the shikon shards by touch and can purify Naraku's miasma.
• the sight - In the first and second manga, Inuyasha and Kaede mention that Kagome has "the sight." Generally, the sight probably is the ability to see invisible objects or being able to detect items of immense power. Kagome can see through Naraku's illusion spells and could see Yura's hair. (first and second manga) This also could explain why she can see Shikon Shards.

Friends

• InuYasha - He initially was angry about how Kikyou had betrayed him and projected it at Kagome, but eventually he realized that she was not Kikyo and slowly opened his heart as she showed him kindness and compassion. However, their friendship and blossoming love do not stop Kagome from shouting "Osuwari!" or "Sit, boy!" when it is warranted. She is also jealous and upset when he goes after Kikyo on occasion, totally forgetting about her.
• Shippo - She treats Shippo almost like a little brother, bringing him candy from the modern era and forcing InuYasha to "Sit" whenever he bullies Shippo. He is a kitsune (fox you­kai) and they love to play tricks.
• Miroku - While he is at times a lecherous nuisance, she respects his knowledge and actions and knows that he would gladly give his life for his friends if the need arose.
• Sango - She and Sango quickly become friends. She is the only other female character in the group, not including Kaede.
• Koga - Kagome likes Koga as a friend and trusts him. However his claims that they are in love have caused a strain between her and InuYasha, even though she really isn't interested in Koga. Koga is also engaged to a friend of Kagome's: Ayame, a female wolf demon who is the granddaughter of the wolf y¨­kai elder! Ayame only appears in the anime, however; in the manga Kagome is the only female interest of Koga's.
• Yuka, Eri and Ayumi- In the modern era, they are her three friends although they tend to be more than a little nosy about Kagome's "boyfriend" and why she isn't interested in Hojo.
• Hojo - He is one of Kagome's male classmates, and often brings herbal medicines and similar items to treat her 'sicknesses'. His ancestor, Hojo Akitoki, had such an infatuation with her that he even convinced his wife to change her name to Kagome. "
