But who is this Valentine fellow, and what did he do? One legend has it that Valentine was a priest who served during the third century in Rome. When Emperor Claudius II decided that single men made better soldiers than those with wives and families, he prohibited marriage for young men. Valentine, realizing the injustice, continued to perform marriages for young lovers in secret. When Valentine's actions were discovered, Claudius ordered that he be put to death. According to that legend, Valentine actually sent the first 'valentine' greeting himself. While in prison, it is believed that Valentine fell in love with a young girl, the jailor's daughter, who always used to visit him. Before his death, he wrote her a letter, which he signed 'From your Valentine,' an expression that is still used today. So I believe that's it! I wish you joy and lots of love, you guys deserve it! Well it isn't really the night before Christmas... we still have to wait another day. Hopefully the mice will stay away this year and celebrate mouse Christmas back at their place.  Yes dear fans Christmas is approaching rapidly. All of you out there hang those stockings and clean that chimney 'cause ol' Santa is coming to town. Well we, anime fans celebrate Christmas in our own way ... by setting as background anime pics (relating to Christmas of course), by creating avatars and signatures on a forum, even drawing ourselves some season related fanart. I wish you all a very merry Christmas and hope Santa brings all the presents you desire. And now, presenting to you the most beautiful wallpapers/pictures/avatars/stuff in general I could find in such a short time on the Internet and on my computer (I'm only posting the thumbnails of the wallpapers so just click on it and wait a while until it fully loads) :

     - the last 4 images (3 avatars and 1 signature ^_^) I made myself. I hope you like them (because I know I'm not very good at making them .... well I like them because I made them ^_^ ). The group from "Love Hina" is represented in the signature (Kaolla, Motoko, Naru, Keitaro, Sarah, Kitsune and Shinobu - from left to right) and I chose Motoko as my model for the avatars for she is my favourite of all.
