Picture:
An image that best captures your critter’s appearance. Remember the restrictions that apply for certain kitties, such as the Hunters, or the Named. Don’t forget that seeing the picture of a Lynx or Puma does not insinuate that the animal is of that particular breed - the photo simply portrays the character’s physical form, not its species-type.
Breed:
Typically, there are but three feline breeds - The Named, Un-Named, and the Hunters.
There are no present-day felines in existence. The Tiger has yet to roam feral jungles, the Lion has yet to proclaim its African kingdom, the Jaguar has yet to ascend jagged mountain peaks. Seeing the picture of a Lynx or Puma does not insinuate that the animal it is of that particular breed - the photo merely represents the outer facade, not species. Nevertheless, because this is fictional Roleplay, we are allowed much flexibility. If you wish a direct link to modern felines, please refer to them as paleo-. For example, if you wanted to rp a Lion-ancestor, it would be referred to as a Paleo-P. leo. A Bobcat precursor would be Paleo-L. rufus. Snow Leopards would be Paleo-U. uncia - and so on. If this is too confusing, we will abandon the concept all together.
If your animal is not a cat or felid-relative, simply place the species name beneath the Breed section. If you aren’t sure what an animal is, feel free to ask on one of the OOC (out of character) boards.
Rank/Title:
Your Character's Rank, if it sustains one. Former Ranks/Titles are not to be included in this line.
If your Character was a leader, herder, raider, etc... and is no more, it should be mentioned in his/her history, not listed as a current Rank/Title.
Name:
Remember - certain groups entice different handles. For example,
-The Named encourage titles similar to our own, a series of sounds rather than simple words, such as ‘Thakur, Fessran, Ratha, Khushi’.
-Hunters label their cats according to a specific physical or expressive trait, such as ‘Quiet Hunter, Bent Whiskers, True-Of-Voice’.
-Many of the Un-Named do not believe or answer to such things as names, let alone recognize their purpose, but there are a select few known to carry designations as a disdainful burden, or personal preference.
Gender:
Male or Female
Age:
To keep things simple, ItM generalizes age into factions, as opposed to exact years.
Cub/Infant(Treeling)/Hatchling(Bird): Felid-cubs may harbor spots - depending on their breed-, and will sustain them until their first or second year. Infants are relatively helpless, and rely on their parents/clan for survival. If left to fend for itself, a newborn would surely die, via hunger or predation.
Yearling: This is the equivalent of a teenage adolescent. Yearling felines may retain spots - but these flecks are continuously fading beneath the emergence of a mature pelt. Those without a clan have ascertained the basics of stalking, and can even take small prey. Nevertheless, they are still susceptible to larger carnivores and territorial beasts.
Adult: Grown fiends have little to fear. Youth grants agility, untried vigor gives them strength. Adults are able to support their own bellies, fight off rivals, and seek companionship.
Elder: At this age, creatures are nearing the end of their prime. While still capable of producing a family, their chance to do so is quickly diminishing. Although Elders may be adept combatants and proficient hunters, they lack the energy of their Adult cohorts.
Ancient One: To be ancient is to have endured the hardships of many years. These creatures are revered for their wisdom and fortitude. Many are weak and susceptible to illness. Their abilities as predators and soldiers have declined - often to the point where survival outside of a group or clan is difficult. Only a select few are able to maintain their strength and prowler-skills.
Height:
The feasible shoulder-height of your creature in inches or centimeters.
Weight:
The logical weight of your beast in pounds or kilograms.
Appearance:
Your character’s physical façade. Be sure to include details such as
Eye-color:
Pelt-color:
Markings (if present):
Scars (If present):
Any distinguishing features such as a short tail, pointy ears, long fangs, etc…Is your character muscular? Thin? Is it built lithe like a Cheetah, or compact like a Lion? Stocky like a Jaguar, or powerful like a Leopard? You can be as descriptive or as sparse as you’d like in this department, so long as you provide (at the very least) a vague overview.
Lair Site:
If your creature has claimed a territory or den, feel free to describe it so that others may know where to potentially find your character during the Role Play.
Allegiance:
Named: A member of the Named Clan, either through birth or admittance.
Hunter: A felid of the Hunter Tribe. Usually, one must be born into this group.
Un-Named: A feline who offers loyalty to the Un-Named, but has yet to consider itself a true foe to any given felid-party.
Raider: A self-proclaimed enemy of the Named and Hunter Tribe.
Neutral: An unbiased creature - indifferent to species and ethnicity. Witless Un-Named individuals are automatically considered Neutral, as they lack the ability to understand their own hate - if such an emotion exists within their detached minds.
Lineage:
Your characters Mother, Father, and Litter-Siblings (if known).
Mate:
List, if any. In the Role Play, your character is allowed to have more than one mate should it choose that path (as it is in nature), so long as those involved are aware OOC of the event.
Offspring:
Any young your character may have produced. If you have litters with more than one mate, be sure to list their Mother’s name as well.
History:
Your character’s past. Reveal as much or as little as you choose.
Companions/Coalitions:
If your creature is in the company of any specific creature, such as the Named and their Treelings, or the Un-Named and their rouge-unions, please present their names here.
