The globalization process has brought great opportunities as well as new challenges, especially within communication:
There are currently more than 6,000 languages worldwide!
Wouldn't it be so much easier if there existed one global language next to our own mother tongue:
One common global language that was officially accepted and supported by international governments. One common language that was taught in all schools. One common language that people around the world would be happy to learn. As a result everybody could communicate worldwide much more easily - be it privately, for example over the internet; when travelling; or be it for business purposes...
What do you think? Which language should it be?
Should it be one of the widely spoken languages such as English or Spanish? Or would Esperanto or any other existing constructed, international language be more suitable? Or should it be a totally new language?
Make your voice heard and vote here for the best global language:
Take part in the world's first global election of languages! And vote below for the best global language that you can think of. You are also welcome to tell the world more about your language ideas and your opinion.
Probably, not everybody will be serious about their choice, ideas and comments. Egocentric people might vote for their own mother tongue. And other people will go for a particular language simply because of political reasons. That's ok!
For all voters who are serious and want to make an unbiased, objective decision on the truly best language, here are some questions for your inspiration:
How easy will it be for everybody in the world to learn this language? (complexity of structure, grammar, vocabulary, intonation, pronunciation, script aspects)
How easy will it be for everybody in the world to communicate in this language? (speaking, writing and listening aspects)
How much will this language be accepted by everybody? (political and cultural aspects)
Please read the following list carefully as you can vote only once. As soon as you have pressed the "Submit Vote" button, your decision is final and cannot be changed later.
You will find the link to current results under the "Submit Vote" button.
