Integrative Healing

Currently, there seems to be much talk about Energy Medicine and different kinds of energy healing.

Just what is this new kind of curative modality and how does it work?

Energy Medicine involves the use of herbs, crystals, sound or channeled-in frequencies that  promote health by enhancing energy flow and correcting disturbances in the human auric  and etheric field. Improving the flow of energy in these fields supports the self-healing ability of the body. Energy healing is a unique part of Energy Medicine in that it involves the conscious use of the energy field of the healer to affect the energy field of the client.  Some metaphysical healers may employ crystals or other "tools", but more often it is simply the interaction of healer and client on an energetic level that directs the work.   

Metaphysical healing is based on the belief that negative mental patterns, left unchecked, can eventually result in physical disease or illness; and that the reversing of those negative mental patterns into positive patterns, can in turn, lead to healing. The individual can be his or her own healer, responsible for creating either health or illness. When an individual falls ill, the believer in metaphysical health does not think it was by chance, but by mental patterns that are identifiable and correctable.

Though western medicine dismisses the notion of metaphysical healing, there is little doubt that the connection between mind, body and spirit exists. Doctors routinely tell patients to keep their spirits high with supporting visits from family and friends, understanding that anything that makes a patient feel better mentally and emotionally, aids physical healing too.
According to this belief, the  most compromising emotions to health are longstanding guilt, resentment, and anger. The best emotions for healing are self-love, self-acceptance, and self-worth.

It is important to realize that everything is a form of energy. Moving objects, as well as stationary objects have energy. Thoughts have energy. Words have energy. Even trees, rocks, water, pets and people are all made up of energy. Energy is everywhere, so it is best to surround ourselves with positive, healthful and uplifting energy if we are to stay well.

Since everything has energy, all healing must involve energy.  This healing modality works purely with the vibrational level of our being.  This kind of healing is thus, by nature, "holistic”.
