The four member band has entertained together for six years. Members of the band include; Chad Flores (rhythm and lead guitar, lead vocals, and harmony), Brian DeCheney (drummer and vocals), Eric Shults (lead guitar and vocals), and John Foster Jr. (bass). The young bands miraculous talent was first discovered in the sixth grade. Insubordination at the time was known as “The Baboons” and only played with a two member band, Chad and Brian. Brian Jr. and Chad played together at the Orchard View Middle School talent show for a sold out crowd. The band played “Sweet Home Alabama” for the crowd, winning them first place and respect.
After playing a two member band the guys recruited Eric Shults making it possible to put on a bigger show with some back-up. Recruiting Eric to the band they than changed their name from “The Baboons” to what you know them as today “Insubordination”.
It was brought to managements attention that places all over Muskegon would love to book the band. To their dismay it is brought to their attention that a bass player would be required in order to be booked. In the search for a new bass player they come across John Foster Jr. whom is now the permanent bass for Insubordination. Now with a full four member band they have had the opportunity to play at several locations throughout Michigan all including; Boondocks Tavern, The Patio Bar, LC’s Road House, Kelly’s Corner, Rossi’s, 46 Bar, Tin Lizzies, Deanos, Muskegon County Fair Grounds beer tent, Pat‘s Roadhouse, and Little Brown Jug. In 2005 the four member band rocked the Muskegon Summer Celebration Regional Stage. The band also dedicated their own time to help raise money by playing at benefits and parties. The band is now looking forward to recording their new CD and playing larger venues.
