Trick List
-
Dropping in - put both feet on the rail. Lean forward and commit. Take your weight and move it forward but when you hit the bottom level yourself out. Then when you come to the other side lean forward and finish the transition. " don't lean to forward" you will fall the first time you try it. So just keep trying and you will get it eventually.
2. 180's - drop in or roll in on what ever you want to get speed then when you hit the ramp jump and turn in the air but only until you land backwards do not over spin. For you will fall if you land on you side. a good way to learn it is by not having your skates on and just turning the 180 motion in the house or have your skates on and learn it on the grass
3. Stalling on the mini halfpipe - you drop in go down and when you come up you land on the rail do not jump when you are trying This trick also do not come at an angle when trying the trick just go straight to it and stall looking forwards then when you got that 180 back into the mini pipe to keep on going forwards. This is hard to do because of the 180 involved so expect to fall When you do the 180. when you feel comfortable try doing the frontside stall and drop in backwards keep on reading through the trick list to learn how to drop in backwards.
4. Grinding frontside on the mini halfpipe - this is every inliner's nightmare grinding frontside on the halfpipe. Every time I go to the skatepark I get asked how do you grind frontside and that gets really annoying cause I go to the skatepark alot. When coming up to the coping in the half pipe come at an angle and slightly jump onto the rail. Do not jump to much when trying the trick otherwise you will fall because you will have the speed but just stop because you jumped to high. Another issue is doing the 180 back in the half pipe most people stay on the coping a little just to try to get the courage to 180 back in. So just keep trying it and you will get better it is just the extended version of the frontside stall.
5. 180 stall on the mini halfpipe - this one you have to have the right timing on the halfpipe when you 180 onto the rail or coping so when you jump turn and land on the ramp it is just like the frontside stall you can't get alot of air so get use to turning fast cause turning fast will come in handy when trying the backside grind in the next lesson.when you reach the coping 180 and land on the rail. Some problems are only getting one foot one and the other foot misses and you fall or it just misses and it won't be the trick. another problem is not turning fast enough and falling onto the halfpipe.
6. Backside grind - backside grinds are the extended version of the 180 stall just you are moving while doing it. so when you drop in come to the rail at an angle and jump but not to high or you will fall cause you won't move and therefore you will trip. So jump and 180 quick so you can think about when you want to land. I still rarely fall on these because I miss the rail so keep on trying the 180 stalls and get good at them before trying this trick.
