We finished our tour a few weeks ago and have played several local shows since then. Josh Pettinger is still drumming for us and we've been recording scratch guitar, drums, and bass for our upcoming album. More news soon.
11/27/07
Well it's been a long time since we've last updated. First and foremost, our January tour will be kicking off on the first of the month. All of the dates are nearly complete, just a couple date are left to fill. Sadly, Dave Burk will not be joining us on the tour, he has joined Canandaigua local band the Hounds of Hell and will be touring with them instead. Josh Pettinger will be taking the place of Dave behind the kit for our January tour. We are going to be putting off our new cd until after our tour. Keep checking back for more news and show details!
9/5/07
Ok, see the two cd thing isn't really happening. Sorry, we lied, it seemed like a cool idea at the time. Anyway, we have been writing nonstop, we'll have four new songs done by the end of September for sure. We have plenty of shows coming up as well, so we'd better see those halls and bars packed!
8/16/07
Wow, a lot has happened in the last month. We have tons and tons of shows coming up. Were working on releasing two cd's at once now! So they'll be out later this year than expected, but it'll be double the Formaldehyde goodness. We have been writing a lot too, so we'll have 3 new songs if not more finished by late September. We are also getting new stickers, pins, and t-shirts for the fall/winter seasons. Lastly, we have begun setting up another tour for the whole month of January and a few of the dates are already booked and taken care of! Keep checking back for plenty of updates!
7/16/07
We just finished our quasi tour. All out of state shows got cancelled last minute for one reason or another. But the shows we did play were amazing! We are going to be touring for three weeks this January though. More updates on that soon! We have plenty of shows coming up across the state though, keep an eye out for us!
7/1/07
The touring has begun! We've played our kick off and Canandaigua shows and had some great times. We are heading out to Avoca in a few hours and this Wednesday we'll be in Massachusetts!
6/12/07
Sorry for not updating in so long. We have most of the tour booked now, were just waiting on 5 or 6 dates to get filled. Our first release on Kalashnikov is being delayed, by our choice, but will be released later this summer. We didn't feel like it was going to be ready by June 29th. We aren't leaving anyone empty handed though, we are going to be putting out a 3 song demo cd and it will be for sale at all of our upcoming shows for $1. Keep checking back here for more show and cd updates. We may have found a new permanent bassist. He/She will be unsheathed in the coming weeks.
5/19/07
Plenty to update. We played a great show earlier with Another One Down, Grand Central Space Station, and DOA. We've got plenty of new tour dates and such. Plus, shirts for sale, new pins and stickers by june. And...New CD will be released late this July on Kalashnikov Records. Keep checking back for more news and stuff of that sort.
4/5/07
We have little to update at the moment. Many more shows are approaching, including our tour this July. We will have T-shirts within' the next two weeks thought! A mock up image of what the t-shirt will basically look like will be on our merch page. T-shirts will be for sale for less than $10, probably $8. We will also be ordering new pins and stickers. We will have two different pins this time, the old one of the crack baby and the new one, which will be a dissected skeletal frog. Also, the bassist situation is still being covered by Mandy. But Joe Soel will be stepping in soon, hopefully. We'll have more info on that up later.
3/25/07
Thank You Cortland! We had a great time at Cortland last night, all the kids were great. Were going to be there again this June! In other news, more shows a coming and a few have been cancelled or rescheduled. All of that will be posted on the upcoming events page. Also, the search for a new bassist may be temporarily over. Joe Soel will be joining the hyde crew until he must make leave for Iraq in September. So until then, you'll be seeing Joe rock the stage with us! The Baby Doll E.P. will be available in the next few months. Along with T-Shirts, which should be available by Spring Break! Keep checking back for more news, plenty still to come!
3/3/07
Even more to update this time! First of all, we may have found a permanent bassist. After tonights show at the Shamrock Inn we will know if he is up to committing 100%. We'll make an announcement later this week if this person is to become a permanent member of Formaldehyde. In other news, we have many new shows to update, including three new confirmed tour dates! Also, the new Formaldehyde E.P. is nearly finished. Four songs are in the process of being mixed, while one other is just waiting for some final touches to be added before mixing! Embers and Armistice lost their bass player and had to drop, and I'm hearing rumors that Red Letter Days is dropping off. However, to make up for this, Inward is going to be on the show, we think Fall of the Forgotten is going to be, and Brian's buddy's band is probably going to be opening up. (click for directions)It'll be us, Red Letter Days, Dead To You, and Embers & Armistice. November 20th. Show runs 4-8, its a Sunday. Plus I want to add that the management at the Montage is Awesome. Brock Thrasher is a pretty cool dude. Oh yeah and unlike Some booking people we know, he doesn't go "hmm this girl sounds like a flake" and call Zach to book. Bastards... But yeah this show is going to rock pretty good. See you there. 10/09/05 Hey, thanks to everybody that stood out in the rain to watch us at homecoming Friday night. It says a lot about a band when fans will freeze their asses off and get soaking wet to see them play. Love all you guys so much. 9/12/05 Hey guys, sorry it took me so long to update this. Lots of stuff going on. Water Street was a great show. We didn't make the semi finals, but life goes on. Next show is September 25th at Steel Music Hall. Tickets are currently available for $7. All ages. Doors at 1 pm. 6 bands total. 8/17/05 Well Nikstock was kind of a bust but it looks like we might actually have 3 shows this September, as opposed to the one a month that we've had since January. Waterstreet battle of the bands, Sept. 4th, Penny Arcade actually wants us back, possibly Sept. 10th, and Steel Music Hall will probably be Sept. 25th. We already have presale tickets available for Waterstreet, and you can only get them from us until the 28th when we have to turn in money and unsold tickets. We will have presale tickets for the other two available soon. 8/11/05 Well, Nikstock is tomorrow, so to all you stupid bastards that aren't coming... SUCK IT! And to the rest of you, we'll be leaving from Zach's house at 6 AM. See you bright and early! Today, we are going to kidnap Sam, one of our most beloved crack babies, just to come to Nikstock. And we have NEW PATCHES! And the ones we fucked up on are at discount prices! Also, tickets for Water ST. are available, and we have flyerness for that show, so start planning now, all of you better be there or I'm going to seriously start to question how much you love us. 7/31/05 (again) Pics of last night's show at Steel are now up. Thanks for taking pics as usual Ravyn. :) Also, we now have presale tickets available for the battle of the bands at Waterstreet, Sunday September 4th. They're $7. Only $20 to see over 40 bands on a great 2 day festival. 7/31/05 Hey, we'd just like to thank everyone that came out to the show last night at Steel. We'd also like to thank all the bands, Draffin, Felice, Another One Down, and Bedlight for Blue Eyes, it was a great show, great time, new great memories. Remember Nikstock is in 2 WEEKS! Promote this to every body! T-Shirts, Stickers, and Patches will be available there. P.S. just a minor note, the few flyers that escaped today had a minor error. The address is 4785 Lake Ave. A # was wrong in the address on the original flyers but all the new ones will be corrected. See You all there! 2/26/05 WOOHOO!!! April 3rd is the official date. We're asking around for some other bands. Promote the hell out of this one, everybody! Tell lots of people. WE NEED LOTS OF PEOPLE! LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS OF PEOPLE! 2/25/05 GREAT news! It looks like we're going to be playing at the Penny Arcade this spring. The date we asked for is April 3rd, but thats just tentative for now, we haven't heard for sure. Admission will be $7 at the door, and the show will go from 3 to 7 pm. There should be some other local bands there but the details are still getting worked out. We'll let you know more as we plan more. 2/23/05 Some sad news to report, nothing has happened with the band but to another. Brian "Head" Welch has parted ways with KoRn. He was one of the reasons that made zach want to play guitar. The rest of KoRn will stay together as they record their 8th studio album. Some good news though, some new Formaldehyde shows should be coming up soon! 2/14/05 New address for the site, you can now reach us through www.injectthis.cjb.net. But never fear, you can still reach us through www.freewebs.com/inject_this! Happy Valentines Day, guys!Formaldehyde love for everybody! 2/13/05 Singing Soup and Sammies ruled! We would like to thank everyone that helped us move equipment and sang along for Sweet Dreams. Be sure to catch us at our shows, more will be coming up soon! Rock on Fan Base! Pics of the show will be up by the end of the month. 2/7/05 T-Shirts are finally here for you! They will be about $10 each. 1/30/05 Hey, we got some new pics and a group shot, check em' out. 1/29/05 Hello all! The Final arrangement of songs for our demo will be the following: Iris, Heart-Felt Feeling, Inside Outside, Lost and Found, Strawberry Gashes, Beautiful, Once Upon A Time, and Hello Kitty Kat. We'll hopefully finish recording before the battle of the bands. The drums are all finished for the first four tracks and the vocals are finished for Heart-Felt Feeling and Inside Outside. Wish us luck! 01/25/05 Alright, the original plan was that the CD was just going to be a 4 song demo. However, since we love our fanbase so much (and we do), we have decided that we want to add more songs. However, we can't decide which ones. We need your help! Either post in the guestbook or send Mandy an e-mail, letting us know what your favorite song is. Beautiful, Puppet Strings, Strawberry Gashes, Hello Kitty Kat, Sweet Dreams, Don't Fear the Reaper, Once Upon a Time, or State of Depression. (Don't think you're limited to those either, if there's another one you like, just let us know.) If you can't put the name with a song (which wouldn't be a big surprise) try to describe it, the CD is for you guys, so we want your input! 01/20/05 The site is currently getting a little facelift... moving a few things around. You'll no longer see "contact us" or "news" on the lefthand side of the page, put you can still contact us through our e-mail addresses, in our bios, and view the news right here on the home page. We've also got another gig coming up in April, Zach's cousin Frank is turning 21 and we're playing his party, and opening for 40 oz Failure. (I don't care if you don't know who they are, they're big in their area.) 01/19/05 Well, the demo is well on its way. So far the drum tracks are totally done, and vocals are done for two songs. Don't know when it'll be totally done, but it shouldn't be too long now. Also, we now have Formaldehyde patches and stickers. If you don't have one but want one, let us know. We should also have t-shirts soon, not sure of the cost yet. 01/06/05 Practice last night was questionable. Missing two members isn't the best way to do practice. Somehow Jhenna's absence always screws us over! Damn you Jhenna! We've got a new set to work on, hopefully we'll have it down pretty soon. Lots of new covers! The Junior Class is having a Battle of the Bands for a fundraiser, it's March 18th at 7:00 in the auditorium. Mark it on your calendars! 01/04/05 Currently we are working on a demo cd. This will include 4 original songs- Heartfelt Feeling, Iris, Lost & Found, and Inside, Outside. If all goes well we should be able to sell this for cheap at our gigs after it's done. We're also proud to announce that Erinn is becoming a permanent part of our little group. Yay keyboard and backing vocals!
Admission is $7 at the door and presale. Time is 3-7pm.
