THIS IS AN INHOUSE, BACKUP SYSTEM SWITCHING UNIT:

AN AUTOMATIC TRANSFER SWITCH INCLUDES A CONTROL CIRCUT THAT

SENSES MAINS VOLTAGE. WHEN UTILITY POWER IS INTERUPTED, IT STARTS

UP THE GENERATOR, DISCONNECTS THE LOAD FROM THE UTILITY AND

CONNECTS IT TO THE GENERATOR. IT THEN CONTINUES TO MONITOR

MAINS VOLTAGE, AND WHEN IT IS RESTORED, SWITCHES YOUR HOUSEHOLD

WIRING BACK TO THE UTILITY. WHEN THE GENERATOR IS DISCONNECTED

IT NORMALLY GOES INTO A COOL DOWN PROCESS AND THEN

 AUTOMATICALLY SHUTS DOWN.

THE CONCEPT

An Inhome micro-hydro generator, that will generate enough power to supply the needs of the household - and twice that amount. The surplus is sold to the electrical grid, making enough money for the system to pay for itself.

THE DEVICE/SYSTEM

The device is called a Pelton Home Generator. It is included in a System of a storage tank; and piping, to return water to the storage tank from the generator. The size of the storage tank is larger than a oversized hot water tank. A Power Inverter from 12V storage batteries to 110V house power. Storage Batteries. External Wind Generator and Solar Panels. Sensors to send Satellite signals, are on all equipment; for maintenance purposes.

ADVANTAGES

The household will not be affected anymore by any cuts in electrical service to the home by rolling blackouts, or weather conditions like ice and wind storms. Also, this will not increase the usage of water to run the system, with minimal allowance for evaporation of course. No cost for installation, it is part of the monthly payment received as revenue for the device from the electrical grid.

The North American electrical infrastructure will become more diversified by being placed in homes, and thus making it less subject to terrorists attacks. Local power grids will still be able to operate independently from others, as the source of power is not centralized.

HOW IT WORKS

The Harris Pelton Turbine is an efficient, durable battery charging Pelton Turbine Generator. It is especially well suited to produce usable power from springs and creeks that are too small to sustain the same level of useful power from a conventional AC generating system. We have adapted the Pelton Turbine Generator for usage in the Inhome Generator System. That adaptation is currently under "Proprietory Information" protection. The generator is very flexible, allowing it to be expanded to cover larger homes. The System generates electricity, using the municipal water flow into the home (tapped into the water line after the water meter) and does not increase the water usage nor the service pressure does not decrease (usually 35 p.s.i. by most municipalities). Remember, this system is SIMILAR BUT NOT THE SAME as micro-hydro systems used on farms, ranches and businesses that are tapped into streams and rivers; with the main difference being the source of water and water pressure gradiant.

The amount of power generated will cover the electrical requirements and needs of the home, and any peek demand requirements. Also, the system is designed to produce more than the home requirements; to enable the sale of the excess power to the local electrical grid - called Net Metering Tarriff. The revenue from the sale of excess power, will cover the cost, installation and maintenance of the system; and once paid off, make a profit for the homeowner, who will never have to pay for electricity nor home heating fuels (natural gas, propane, etc.) again. Other considerations in relation to this system is to have a retro-fit completed when doing the installation of this system - of the furnace and hot water tank/other items; to make the home 100% user of electricity.

HOUSEHOLD LOADS

The most important step in designing an Inhome System, is accurately (at least within 10% or so) estimating how much electricity your family will comsume (we will do this for you if you wish). This is stated in watt hours used per day, or watt hours per month (divide watt hours by 1,000 to get kilowatt hours). You then can take this number to use and customize the system to meet your needs, and we factor in a safety differential, and take into consideration the amount of excess power you may want to sell to the local power grid. On average, the typical North American home comsumes 12,000 watts per day; and this system can be customized to produce twice that amount or even more; whatever the homeowner wishes.

all of us hard at work

For those of you who have questioned me; yes, you guessed correctly. My motivation on inventing is for others, not for myself. My inventions would make people's lives better in using the inventions, provide jobs and good self-esteem for a lot of people. Instead of having a normal 8% profit at each year end for the company, I will use 80% of the 8% for all of the staff, so they may live a better life on a day to day basis, instead of waiting for big bonuses at the year end. There still will be bonuses though.

DEVELOPMENT STAGE

The Concept is now at the Stage of building the PROTOTYPE (a working model prior to the manufacturing and production stages). The build is in progress ( three phases involved), as funding comes in to purchase captial equipment and supplies.

THE PROTOTYPE BUILD

Currenty, the estimated budget to build the Prototype is $160,000.00 to $200,000.00 CDN. Support and Donations are required to build the Prototype. The Prototype would be the first working model of the system prior to the manufacturing stage.

Federal and Provincial/State laws of North America, prohibit the solicitation of money in exchange for shares of a Federal/Provincial/State Incorporated Private Company. Of course, those laws say nothing about issuing shares later on once the company is manufacturing the system.  (Please ensure that your name, address and email address is included for future purposes).

$5.00 from one person, times 500 people equals $2,500.00. $5.00 does not seem like a lot, but it is, once it is part of a group multiplier. $2,500.00 will purchase a pelton generator, and a system p.s.i. pre-charger for maintaining a minimum of 30 p.s.i. on the water line prior to the generator.

DONATIONS

Currently there are two ways to contribute:

1. PAYPAL by clicking on the paypal icon at the bottom of this page, and in the "Payment For" box, please type in 'Inhome Generator.' You may use your Paypal account, Bank Debit Card, or Credit Card to make a Donation. By filling in and completing all the information requested, this will allow us to keep track of the donations. All records are confidential, and no individual names will be listed; only the totals, as we show and keep track on this web site of the path to the budgeted amount for the Prototype Build.

2. Using your Online Banking, by Interac Email Money Transfer. It is the same as using your Debit Card at an ATM Machine, but in this case, Online instead. Look inside your bank Online Transfer Area to learn how to do it. The email address to send to is: greidactreid@hotmail.com.

We will be keeping a dated log of the Donations on this site. As stated before, individual names will not be displayed - just the group totals. And a comparison of how far we have reached and how far we have to go towards the goal of achieving the budget for the building of the Prototype. Also, we will be keeping a building log of the System Prototype Build, complete with pictures and costs involved; how far along we are, including any problems we run into.
