Not
too much to report, we have moved to Spokane, Washington and I have
been writing like a crazy lady! I am currently working on several
different projects, which keeps me very busy. As if my 2 year old isn't
enough...lol! My wish is that I will have completed book one of my
romantic mini-series, Clover Crossings. It is just about done, just
needs some fine tuning. I had been suffereing from the worse writers
block ever, but that spell seems to have lifted, hopefully long enough
for me to get some serious writing done!
The
Dung Beetle will be publishing it's monthly goodies online only for the
time being. There is a chance it will be printed for the public, but
until then you can enjoy that wacky zine at
www.freewebs.com/thedungbeetle or just follow the link listed in my nav
bar.
In
other news Tim (the hubby) has moved to another radio station located
in Spokane, Washington, and good news folks, you can now listen to Tim
on the internet! So tune in to KYRS 92.3FM or go to thinairradio.org
every Thursday night from 6-8 for some awesome tunes and some wacky
fun. Turn IT Up With Tim!!! You can also follow a link through my nav
bar to his site as well or go to www.freewebs.com/turnituptim

Here
is where you can find some work from my favorite poets. Please feel
free to submit any requests from your favorite poets and authors, and
I'll be more than happy to post it on this page. Enjoy!
Robert Frost (1874-1963)
Fire and Ice
Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To Know that for destruction of ice
Is also great
And would suffice.
William Butler Yeats (1865-1939)
The Fish
Although you hide in the ebb and flow
Of the pale tide when the moon has set,
The people of coming days will know
About the casting out of my net,
And you have leaped times out of mind
Over the little silver cords,
And think that you were hard and unkind,
And blame you with many bitter words.
Randall Jarrell (1914-1965)
Death of the Ball Turret Gunner
From my mother's sleep I fell into this State,
And I hunched in its belly till my wet fur froze.
Six miles from earth, loosed from its dream of life,
I woke to black flak and the nightmare fighters.
When I died they washed me out of the turret with a hose.

Some Free Reads:

Do
you ever get online and want to find some quality reads..that are um,
well not to sound cheap, but free? Well, I have found some neat sites that
everyone might enjoy, granted a simple click to good ol' google and you
will have a ton of links come up! All the sites are free and there are
options for better memberships etc. Most are written by beginning
writers getting their feet wet in the writing world, some of the
stories I found we pretty good and most of the sites offer a wide range
of interests. I would for anyone to send me some more sites, I have
just about finished all of these online stories and would love some
fresh stuff.
Addresses To Some Free Reads:
Writing.com: This site is a good site to get involved in the
writing community , you can share your own work as well as read
other writers.
Storiesmania.com: Lots of reads here, some are really good, others, well aren't so great.
Eharlequin.com: A personal fav, cannot say enough great things about
this site, excellent quality stories, best of all it's free! Psst...I
would love to be published by them!
Roadtoromance.com: Pretty good stuff on this one.
