Trivello's parents are unknown to him to this day. As far back as he can remember he was alone as a youngster, lingering around the docks and small communities that surrounded edges of the ocean. Life was hard but he loved every minute of it, he had a passion for adventure and a daring blood flowed through his veins. He made everything fun and exciting and always had a smile on his face. He became well known in the area and he made as many friends as he did ememies, for he had to steal to eat at first, then he stole for valuables and sold them off to pirates and seafolk in exchange for shelter and preferred the company, but he wouldnt think twice about helping someone out. As a colt he would sit for hours at the docks watching the huge ships roll in and out across the ocean. He longed to travel across the ocean, he was desperate to explore beyond his current life...
It was the same day that he stumbled across a pub and he entered in hope of drowning his sorrows. There he saw a pure white stallion with grey dapples, his body covered in tattoos, sitting at a table with a crowd around him. Tri pushed his way to the front to hear the stallion explaining the applications for joining his crew on his ship "The Water Dragon". Tri had heard of him, his name was Drake and he was one of the most feared pirates on the sea. A grin formed in Tri's mouth and he pushed the others out of the way and slammed his hoof upon the table..."Where do I sign.." his deep, husk voice asked with a grin of eagerness. His willingness to obey captains orders and work damn hard to earn his keep paid off, as he soon became first mate of the Water Dragon, building a close friendship with Drake who he know looked upon as a brother but respected him as a captain, "Whatever Drake says...goes" he often said, despite the odd argument they might have. There was another member of the crew, Tugo the master navigator, it was his role to navigate the ship across the raging seas and find the next best place to loot up. Trivello took his time in warming to him, his loud excitabel nature often proved too much at times, especially when nursing a hangover of the night befores rum intake. But soon enough Tri learned the ship would not be right without him, and he sure was a trouble maker...which Tri relished.
The trio were travelling north to the cooler climates when a terrible storm reached them, boucncing the ship across the surface like a toy boat. With drake clinging desperatly to the wheel and Tugo stuck admist the crows nest, Tri struggled to man the sails. A great wave approached and spun teh ship about violently, Drake managed to control her and avoid the horror of being sunk, but Tri was not so lucky...he had fallen over board and was now a prisioner of the dark seas. He fought with all his might to reach the surface...but the current dragged him down further and eventually all he could see was the black shadow of his ship rolling away above him. The it all went quiet, his body fell numb and his heart slowly thudded in his head. He sank deep...this was it...the end. Tri had drifted for miles unknowingly and just as his eyes were about to see the world for one last time, they darted open...something...approached!
The pain in his chest from air starvation made him kick out and flail about like a rag doll. Soon enough the mysterious being neared him and he was staring into a pair of the most beautiful sea-green eyes. A mare?!...how did she reach these depths...was she flung overboard too? It was then that he realised this was no normal mare, as she pressed her lips to his, air filled his lungs and he could focus. Instead of hind legs this mare bore a tail...like that of a sea serpant. Tri spluttered and gasped soon finding that his lungs were working by themselves...he could breath! For a moment he thought he had died and this was a dream in his eternal sleep. He watched the silhouette of the mare dart about before him so elegantly in the water, she had given him the power of breathing underwater...she had saved his life. She giggled playfully and as soon as she had appeared...she was gone. "Come back.." Tri shouted after her...only to hear his voice gargled and bubbles flew from his mouth...
After a strange experience, and swimming for a hell of a long time..Tri walked slowly onto a beach and collapsed in the sand. He was exhausted, mumbling to himself.."come back.." All he could see hear and think about was the enchanting mare who saved him, he was forever in her debt...and he didnt even know her name. After waking up with a mouthful of sand, Tri got to his feet and made his way towards a gathering of lights over the dunes. He was in luck it was a town, filled with Inns and more importantly...RUM! He threw some coins down on the bar and gulped down his dusty bottle of the finest rum. He sat there quietly contemplating the past day or so and the goings on when he heard a shout from behind him. His ears pricked up and he dropped the bottle as he darted out of the Inn..it was Tugo! The inn keeper didnt take kindly to him spilling rum over his floor and shouted obscenities at Trivello, who in responce was thrown through the window of his own inn. Tri dashed outside, after helping himself to the pouch of gold the unconscious inkeeper held and continued to look about the bust street for sign of his captain. Soon enough there he was! Drake informed him the ship was ready for sale once again...and after a chase from the guardsmen for all three of them causeing such a disturbance in the short time they were there, they were back on the ship and setting sail once agiain. Once at sea, Tri gazed upon the glistening surfaces, wondring if he would catch a glimpse of the mare who saved him...longing to see those beautiful eyes once again...
