Welcome to Amsterdam !

Amsterdam, the capital of Netherlands is also known as the "Venice of the North" because of a huge number of canals. The city is home to people of 177 different nationalities, making it the most multicultural city in the world.

Amsterdam experiences a moderate temperate climate. Winter (November to April) temperatures are mild, on average above freezing, although frosts are not uncommon. Snowfall happens just twice or thrice during the winter. Summers are warm but rarely hot. But it rains a lot in Amsterdam throughout the year.

The official language of Amsterdam is Dutch, but English is widely spoken and understood, so it is quite easy getting around and shopping. Lots of Indians live in Amstelveen which is a like a suburb of Amsterdam. Amstelveen in very well connected to Amsterdam by trams, buses and metro.
