Well, after three years and nine months of happiness with a tablet ... It has come to an end. My beautifully old Graphire2 4x5 (I think?) tablet has kicked the bucket. It has been a good almost four years with the thing, and ... Basically now it sucks because I can't do anything digitally! I don't have a mouse! I'm on a laptop and ... I can NOT work with a laptop touchpad.
It doesn't mean I'm not doing art, though. I'm working a lot more with traditional media ... It's just not the same, though!
That said, I need to raise $200 for a new tablet: a lovely Graphire4 6x8. I am BROKE. I have NO MONEY after I just spent the rest of my money towards a new flute that cost $1200 (my parents picked up what I couldn't pay for, OBVIOUSLY!). And I need a tablet. I NEED one. It's not a want, it's a need. I can't doodle on oekaki or photoshop anymore ... Which is something I would do a lot, even if I didn't upload it onto deviantART or show it to people. But it was a nice way to unwind. There's something more carefree about digital sketching than pencil and paper sketching. I think it's because I'm not killing trees. ;D Haha. No, but really I think it's because there's an undo button. You don't have to worry about people seeing what you don't want them to. Which happens to me a lot because I screw up a lot. So, anyway. I'm currently saving for a new tablet.
