ISU Improv Mafia

2008 National Champions

        On November 15th, Improv Mafia won the National College Improv Tournament hosted by Chicago Improv Festival at Comedy Sportz Theatre in Chicago.  24 teams entered the tournament from as far as California, Florida, and Boston but Illinois State University's only Improv Group took the Title.  You can see information about the tournament here, www.chicagoimprovfestival.org/web/ccc_home.php and you can see videos from the regionals and nationals here, www.rooftopcomedy.com/college/improv

        The group pictured above is only part of our troupe.  We have 15 members and an accompanist that make up our group.  We don't have a coach, we learn from books and teach each other.  We have 2 rehearsals a week and a show every Tuesday night at 8:00 P.M. in ISU's Center for the Visual Arts room 145.
