Cyberstalking

Due to the most unpleasant circumstance that cyberstalking has affected Hadcorp, Implant~Info~Net, as well as other implant activists, we have posted the following information regarding online harassment:

Facts

1. Emails that have no legitimate purpose constitute cyberstalking.

2. Stalking can be executed by an individual or group of individuals, to harass another individual, group of individuals, or even an organization.

3. Stalking includes but isn't limited to the following: monitoring, transmitting threats, making false accusations, damage to data or computer equipment, identity theft, and gathering information for harassment purposes.

4. A reasonable person in the same situation as the victim would be distressed.

5. Cyberstalkers claim that the victims are the harassers.

6. Cyberstalkers damage the reputation of their victim and turn other people against them. A cyberstalker may post false information about the victim on websites. Alternatively, the stalker may post inflammatory remarks on the Internet whilst posing as the victim and post the victim's email address for others to reply to the harmful messages that the harasser has posted.

7. A Cyberstalker may approach the victim's work colleagues, friends, and/or family to obtain personal information. They may try to engage the victim in online correspondence to trace their IP address in an effort to gain more information about the victim.

8. Many cyberstalkers try to involve third parties in the harassment by claiming the victim has harmed the stalker or someone he knows. He may even claim that the third party might be indirectly harmed by the victim.

9.  Persistence is key.

10. The penalty includes a fine or imprisonment.
