Overall 10 all-Americans out of top 18
The 10 all-americans have a combined total of 21x becoming top eight in the country
So do you think you might want to wrestle Freestyle and Greco??????????

I wrestled this weight class 143lbs in 1987 as a sophmore and won my first 3 matches before losing to Winterstein who became a 2x State Champ Marist, AAU National champ and wrestled for UVA.  I then lost to 5th place finisher Horst who wrestled for ODU.
In case you are wondering I also wrestled my senior year 1989 at 143lbs.  I won my first 4 matches before falling in my next 2. With a bye I was one round away from earning All-American status (close but no cigar) That year, Alan Fried 143lbs became a 4x Junior National Champ and OW.  Fried was just pure Dynomyte!!!!!
