I.M.P.A.C.T.

Indiana Militia Practicing Airsoft Combat Tactics

Welcome To Our Site!

(The I.M.P.A.C.T. originals a.k.a. "The 4 Horsemen", from left to right: Poogas, Joker, Pittviper, Atticus. Pic was taken 9/9/07.)

I.M.P.A.C.T. is an Airsoft team based out in the Bloomington / Ellettsville Indiana area. We are a few MilSim gaming enthusiasts that get together once every couple weeks and skirmish against each other and or against others. Most all of our skirmishes are open skirmishes so that others can attend. Our goals are to promote the hobby of Airsoft through honor and sportsmanship, provide a team in Southern Indiana for any players around the area, and, most of all, have fun.

The team was established in the Summer 1998 and has grown from a bunch of enthusiastic kids to an organized and dedicated team. Team I.M.P.A.C.T. plays mostly during the weekends, on our few, (5) fields that we have been given permission to use. We have several members; to find out more about Team I.M.P.A.C.T. please visit our "Roster" page or just browse around. If you have any questions about our team or you want to set up a skirmish date just go to the "Contact Info & Links" page and get ahold of one of us, we will be glad to answer your questions. You can also check out our very own forum by going to the "IMPACT Forum" page. Enjoy :)

IMPACT's Codename: Arctic Fox JAN092010

Codename: Arctic Fox

This event is an IMPACT “Codename” Series Event. Which means it is dedicated and in honor of a particular IAA “veteran” who has in the past positively affected the IAA and helped shape us into what we are today. This is our way to say “thank you”.

Unorthodox / Fox:
Unorthodox was an early member of the IAA and a founding member of the team FOXHOUND based out of Indy. After a short while she left her own team and became a “lone wolf”. After being a loaner for a while she was asked to join I.M.C.O. a Russian impression MilSim team. UX was mostly known for always pushing the IAA towards MilSim, her perfection of impressions, and her absolutely breathtaking beautiful photos. She was an excellent player and one of the few affective airsoft snipers. But what made her stand out was that she would drive hours to games, not to play mind you but to just take pictures! That is true dedication. She attended more games as a war photographer then some current members have attended to just play. UX also attended many MilSim events like OP: Shadow Fox, OP: Still Water (series), OP: HIGH IMPACT (series), and even OP: EASTWIND. Currently she is no longer playing airsoft because she joined the Military and is serving our country.

Storyline / Intel:
The US has suspected Russia of testing new experimental (gases) missiles and other WMDs because of intel we had received from various sources. So we sent out UAVs to fly over Russia. We captured video surveillance of these tests from one of our UAVs. But shortly after recording the video our UAV was spotted and shot down. We must act fast and send an extraction team behind enemy lines to retrieve the video and if possible the UAV. We do not want the Russians to have proof of us watching them. This may be enough for them to break our treaty. Russian soldiers are to be treated as hostiles. Let nothing stand in your way.

This game will enforce IMPACT's Skirmish rules: http://impact_indiana.webs.com/historyandrules.htm
If you have not already, you will need to fill out and bring with you a waiver:  http://airsoftindiana.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=72

DATE: Saturday January 9th 2010 (Backup date in case of bad weather: 1/16/10)
LOCATION: The Circus in Bloomington IN.
TIMELINE: 5-6 hours of non-stop playing.
     -Arrive no later then 10:00AM.
-Everyone will be filtered through the Goggle check, turn in Waiver, & Chrono areas by 10:30-10:45.
-10:45 there will be a very short briefing, basically if you have questions about the game this is the last chance to ask.
-Game WILL START at 11:00AM whether you are ready or not!
-Game will End Ex at 5:00PM (unless all objectives have been completed by then or lack of players left playing due to drop outs.)

US will be Green BDUs.
Russians will be Tan, Black BDUs, & “others” such as white. The exception of real Russian BDUs, if green I will let them slide.

You may carry as much loose ammo on you as you wish. BUT you can only carry ONE high capacity magazine. If you are using a high cap mag that is the only mag you may use. You may carry as many standard or mid capacity magazines as you wish.

The “Rope Method” will be used for Medics. Depending on the number of players in attendance will determine the number of Medics. Simply put the Medic will tie 3 simple knots around the “hit” players arm then untie them to heal the player. All players will have a 5 minute “Bleed Out” time in order to wait for a Medic to reach you. You DO NOT have to wait the 5 minute “Bleed Out” time if you do not wish to and you may head straight for your teams respawn area. All “dead” players will have to wait 5 minutes at the respawn area. Your team may switch Medics throughout the day but ONLY on the hour (1, 2, 3, NOT 2:17 or whatever).

RPT/IMPACT Halloween Night Game 10/30/09

RPT (Recon Patrol Team) and IMPACT are co-hosting a Halloween night game on October the 30th 2009!

Location: "The Circus" in Bloomington IN
Time: Game will start at 6PM and run until Midnight!
Fee: This game is FREE!

Intel:
A toxic shipment of U235 is on route to disposal site, when the truck over turns in the Appalachian mountains. The US government sends in a toxic waste clean up team, but once the team arrives they are never heard from again. So the US government sends in a group of Navy Seals to locate the recovery team, and help with the clean up.

At this point the story is heard around the world. So Iran's government sends in some agents to recover a little bit of the U235 for testing

OP: HIGH IMPACT V!

Intel:
Last year the terrorist organizations known only as F.M. were caught stealing Top Secret documents to try and destroy the world’s economy. It seems as if they are at it again.

Now we have reason to believe that the F.M. is planning something much larger and direct this time around. We are not sure of the exact reasons behind this attack but we have Intel that shows that the F.M. are planning on gaining control of a small city in South America to try to traffic weapons & drugs to further fund their terrorism across the globe. The US/SAS can’t afford to let this happen.

Thankfully the African city has been evacuated by almost all of its inhabitants. Some members of the F.M. have outfitted themselves with civilian attire to try to blend in and avoid detection. The US/SAS Government has been granted permission by the African Government, who wants to remain neutral, to invade this city to give it back to its people.

SAT (Silent Assassin Training) 7/12/09

Silent Assassin Training (SAT)

Presented by the I.A.A. and hosted by Joker.

Date: Sunday July 12th 2009 (Alright I think I am done changing the *' date for this.)
Location: “the Circus” (or “the Farm”) in Bloomington IN
Cost: FREE
Arrive 09:00-10:00
Game Briefing: 10:30
Game Begins: 11:00-15:00
Calculate Scores/Target Practice: 16:00-17:00?

First off this was initially not my idea; some of you were talking about this a few years back, in ’07 I believe. I just decided to take your ideas and create this game. That is why I put it under the I.A.A. banner because I am just hosting it this time. And if this works out well maybe its something we can do annually. If there is a next time maybe someone can write a better game and host it at their own field, the possibilities are endless.

This game is for snipers and sniper/spotter teams only. This game is for snipers and or sniper/spotter teams to practice their skills and hopefully learn something new while playing against other I.A.A. snipers and members. Snipers this is your chance to prove to the other players that snipers are and can be a vital part of the Airsoft battlefield!

SAT will require the most honest of people, and if your not one of them then please do not attend. The honor system will be heavily relied on for this game.

This game will be using a point system I devised to determine a “winner” if such a thing should occur. Objectives will be told during the day of game briefing.

This game is not for everyone. Their will NOT be glorious firefights and fast pace action. Most people may play this game and not even fire a single shot. Remember this is more about training then winning.

Snipers you may come alone to this game or you may bring a spotter. Two people limit to teams. Yes this means its everyone for themselves.

Snipers must use sniper rifles as there primary weapon; for example a bolt action rifle or an upgraded Semi-Only AEG. You must also carry a backup weapon. It can be a pistol or a sub machine gun type weapon such as an MP5K or MP7. And if this is the case then you may use full auto if needed.

If snipers have a spotter they can only shoot single shots (with primary weapons). No full auto. But the spotter can carry an assault rifle and may use full auto if needed.

You may carry as much ammo on you as you like.
Smoke bombs are also allowed to be used.

Required Items:
1) A small pocket size notepad and a pen or pencil.
2) A watch of some kind.

Other recommended items are ghillie suit, radios, water, snacks, bug spray.

POINT SYSTEM:

-There will be approximately 5 or so targets (possible live targets?) that everyone will be aware of. Each sniper or team will be trying to “kill” each target w/o getting killed or if possible w/o being seen. The targets are worth different amounts of points (you won’t know what is what) and the sniper or team that gets the most targets/points in the time limit “wins”.

-Each shot or “kill” must be verified by your spotter (if you have one) and should be written down as well as the time of kill the in order to get credit for it when the game ends. Just for practice sake you should also write down hiding places, places you shot from, approximate distances, other snipers you have seen (* what times), any other engagements you may have, even shots taken and missed, and any other info you may find useful.

-One shot one kill. There are unlimited respawns but being killed will result in a loss of points. If and when you are killed you must also write that down as well as any other details you can.

We may also do some target practice after the game has ended if anyone wishes to practice shooting more. This game is meant to push you to your Sniper limits and give you practice shooting as well as camouflage and movement. Remember this is your training and practice you get out of it what you put into it. I would not call myself an expert or anything but I do have years of Airsoft/Sniper experience and I will try my best to help you in any ways that I can.

New Team Member (5/4/09)

I.M.P.A.C.T. would like to announce that we have a new addition to the ranks. His call sign is Crimson. He is fairly new to airsoft but he does have a background in paintball. He is very active online as well as attending games which is a great attribute to have. He has vastly improved in the short time he has been playing. He is also a very honest and easy to get along w/ person and player, he will fit in well w/ the rest of the members of the team. So again congratulations to Crimson, the newest member of I.M.P.A.C.T.

OP: HIGH IMPACT4! (6/1/08)

I.M.P.A.C.T. will be celebrating their 10 year anniversary as an airsoft team this May! So we thought there was no better way to celebrate then to shoot at some people!

DATE: Sunday June 1st 2008
TIME: Be there and ready to go by 10:45AM. Briefing will be at approx. 11:00AM. The game will begin shortly after the brief.
FEE: This game will cost $5. This will cover your raffle ticket and the cost of props for the field.
LOCATION: “the Farm” in Bloomington Indiana

Thanks to Joker’s Airsoft Supply Store we will be raffling off an AGM Sharp-shooter bolt action Sniper rifle valued at $70. And possibly some bags of Excel BB’s.

Mission Briefing: A group of hired rogue terrorists have stolen top secret documents regarding the Chinese government from the US. These terrorists have been hired by a terrorist organization known only as F.M. The F.M. has acquired mercenaries from around the world and there is reason to believe that even a few US soldiers have been acquired. These soldiers are intelligent and dangerous. The documents contain information that could prove the Chinese government guilty of crimes here in the US. This is also something that the UN is very interested in looking at as well. This could affect our economy and our world as we currently know it.

Specific Objectives will be given on game day but im sure by reading the rules you can figure it out.

Rules:
All Indiana Airsoft Association (I.A.A.) & I.M.P.A.C.T. rules and regulations apply. And you must have a signed waiver in order to participate in this event.

YOU MUST BE WEARING FULL SEAL GOGGLES IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS EVENT! WE WILL BE CHECKING FOR THEM BEFORE THE GAME BEGINS!

In order to disarm the “bomb” the player must follow the instructions located near the “bomb” exactly. They must answer all questions correctly and all with in time limit.

The bomb will be accompanied by a guard/ref who will be unarmed. The guard/ref’s only job is to make sure everything is correctly completed and with in time limit.

If a player is hit or “killed” while trying to disarm the bomb the process must be restarted. The bomb can not be moved by either team.

There is a time limit of 1-5 hours, which will depend on the number of players that attend. We will determine the time limit on game day.

When a player is “hit” he or she must call the hit then place a red or white death rag on there head and sit down. Then the wounded player must wait for a medic to reach them. Medics will be using the rope system. Medics will be provided rope by I.M.P.A.C.T. . When a medic reaches the wounded player they must place the rope around the dead player’s arm (doesn’t matter right or left) and tie three knots then they must untie them. And then the wounded player is healed and may return to the game (didn’t use a life). If the medic is killed while trying to heal another player both players are dead. And if a medic can’t get to you with in five minutes then you are dead. After you die you must go back to your teams spawn point and wait 5 minutes before you can return to the game. Each team has a 1:10 medic ratio, that’s 1 medic for every 10 players. You are responsible for picking your own medics and making sure they are prepared. Every player will have three (3) lives.

There are NO camo requirements for teams except that we wish teams would all be in matching uniforms. Which side your on will be decided on the day of the game depending on the number of players (*note* teams are subject to change due to size and or unfairness). If there is enough time we will switch sides and run the game again so that everyone has a chance to play both sides.

*Backup Weapon Challenge!

To keep things interesting and fun I.M.P.A.C.T. will also be playing the “Backup Weapon Challenge!” if enough people are interested. This will only be played after the Event has concluded.

Backup Weapon Challenge rules:
The only guns you are allowed to use during this game are any and all spring weapons including bolt action sniper rifles and shotguns. Any and all pistols will be allowed (gas, electric, CO2, ect….). Also included are small AEG/Gas/CO2 “backup” type weapons such as MP5K variants as well as Mac10s and Uzis.
You can carry as much loose ammo on you as you like. But if your weapon has a hi-cap magazine 200 rounds or larger you may only carry 1 on you.
You may also carry up to two (2) tennis ball grenades on you as well. The tennis ball grenades have a 10 foot kill radius from where it stops moving.
Specific amount of kills and team organization will be determined on the day of the game.

OP: HIGH IMPACT 3! (10/06/07)

OP: HIGH IMPACT 3!

Date: October 6th. (In case of bad weather date could be changed to the 13th)
Cost: FREE! We will be accepting donations for future field improvement.
Location: This game will be held at “the Farm” as well as “Ground Zero”. I will get address for you soon.
Time: This game will not start until 5:00PM! But you may start to arrive at the field at 4:00PM. The game will end around 10:00ish PM. Free camping will be allowed if necessary.

Scenario:
US intelligence has reported of a major meth operation going on in Bloomington Indiana. The US has been watching closely on their operation and now has enough details to take it out.
This is a highly dangerous and hostile situation, rough terrain and possible traps. Count on the enemy is unknown because of constant movement but it’s estimated to be around 15-20 people. They are highly trained and well armed ex Russian military. They will stop at nothing to protect the meth lab and the farm it’s on.
The US is not exactly sure who has sent the Russians here or what exactly they are using the money for but the US guesses that they are in some way funding terrorism. The US can not allow this to continue any further.
The US has in informant that has placed Secret Documents somewhere near “the Farm”, we believe at a place called “Ground Zero”. The US team will need a Special Forces squad to retrieve these documents and use the Intel inside to help you. The US can not afford to let the Russians get their hands on this Intel. It’s the only proof of their operations we have.

Objectives: Both the US and Russian teams objectives will be given to you the day of the game.

Camo: If you plan to be on the US side then obviously wear US camo. But If your planning on being Russian then just about anything goes. I mean these are meth making Russians come on lol.

Some members of I.M.P.A.C.T. will be ref'ing this game so keep that in mind when choosing sides.

You may want to bring a flashlight of some kind. Radios are strongly recommended. Medics will need to bring about 2 feet (or so) of rope for medical attention.

This event will have a one hit elimination with a five minute respawn. Medics will also be an option. When you are hit you must call your hit then sit or lie down and place a white or red “death rag” on your head. You then have five minutes to wait for a medic to reach you. If a medic does not reach you in time you must walk to the nearest respawn point and then wait 5 more minutes before returning to the game. You can choose to NOT wait for a medic and just head back to respawn. If a medic reaches you in time he or she then can perform the necessary medical attention. The medic must place rope around the wounded player’s arm then tie three knots and then untie them. When that is done the player is healed. If a medic is hit he or she must go to the respawn and wait the required five minutes before returning to the game.

Spec Ops Squad:
Both teams will be required to choose players for a Spec Ops Squad for this game. The Spec Ops Squad will be the only players allowed to be at “Ground Zero”. And there is a 12 person to a Squad limit. The persons in the Spec Ops Squad will be completing smaller but important missions to help with their main objective. The members of the Spec Ops Squad must be responsible and mature players! Once they have completed their mission the will cross the road in a predetermined place to get to “the Farm” to help out their fellow teammates and then they will stay at that field. There will be NO going back and forth between the 2 fields.

OP: Golden Eye (2007)

Date: Sunday July 1st 2007!

"The Idea: This event will be based on the movie & Nintendo 64’s video game 007 Golden Eye. Sweet Tooth thought this would make for an interesting event.

Scenario:
Russians have launched a satellite and are trying to use this high-tech satellite known as Golden Eye as a weapon to destroy entire cities in a matter of seconds. British Operatives (007) will be sent to the outskirts of a Russian command base. Their (007) objectives are to steal the encrypted disc that helps control a satellites global positioning; there for making the Russians have to aim their satellite weapon manually. After doing so this only slows down the Russians, they (007) must destroy the ignition key in order to completely destroy the Russians plans of world domination. You must hurry 007 time is running out."
