The wonderful, wonderful world of tarantulas

Tarantulas! Fascinating, wonderful creatures! Their bites have never been known to be fatal, and their venom is often (but not always!) quite mild. Crikey!

Here we've got the massive Goliath birdeater (Theraphosa blondi). About an entire foot of nasty!
Then there's the more common, more familiar Chilean rose hair tarantula, a great beginner species (Grammastola rosea).
One of my personal favorites is the large and strikingly attractive giant white knee tarantula (Acanthoscurria geniculata).
An Asian species with a nasty temperament— The cobalt blue tarantula (Haplopelma lividum).
