Subject: Constant U.S. Trade Deficits
According to the U.S. Department of Commerce, only 35% of our US GNP is generated by manufacturing.
That means 65% comes from professional services and banking finance.
In 2000, the Department stated that 2,200 conglomerates and large corporations control 75% of all U.S. exports.
Another 28,000 (approx.) medium and small companies do some form of exporting, whether it be to Canada,
Mexico, Europe, Asia, Africa or South America.
The remaining 28,000,000 U.S. companies in manufacturing, services and finance KNOW LITTLE or NOTHING
about the export or import trade.
Is there a message here??? Is our educational system to blame or are the largest exporters protecting their markets
through secrecy or is there another answer? What are your thoughts on this important matter?
We have studied the export/import trade for over 40 years, beginning in 1965 when we contacted foreign embassies,
consulates and foreign trade ministries across the world. The iMarcoPolo Communication Network is the final result
of our decades of research, study and data imput.
