Was it supposed to end this way?

You’ve left me in the dust

Don’t know how I got here

Feel so far

From where I’m supposed to be

In your arms, I met my demise

You pushed away my embrace

Trying to be kind with your gentle words

But it didn’t take away the pain

I sit on the ground

Wondering where you’ve been

And why I have to carry on like this

I guess it was all nothing

Just kidding myself...

An empty landscape

And I see you in the distance

Waving as you say goodbye

And the dust
