WELCOME TO HALL'S COUNTRY PUPS

Where we raise Chihuahua's for quality, not quantity!!

MUST BE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OF AGE TO SIGN HEALTH AGREEMENT CONTRACT. IF YOU ARE NOT, YOU WILL NEED A PARENT TO SIGN CONTRACT FOR YOU.

You have the option to buy a puppy with or without a health guarantee. If you choose not to agree with my health agreement and do not want a health agreement, I can still sell you a puppy. You will need to sign an exempt form that states that you turned down the health agreement and are buying puppy "AS IS".You will also receive a receipt that will state the puppy is being sold "AS IS" with no health guarantee.
I do not recommend this, because the health guarantee protects both of us if something should ever come up within the year regarding the health of your puppy.

Limited Health Guarantee Agreement

By responding to this by email you agree to the terms of
this health policy. You must respond before puppy will be
shipped.

The Limited Health covers the cost of your dog only. We are not responsible for the associated charges, such as shipping, veterinarian fees, mental stress or low sugar.

We, Lisa and Ryan Hall, certify that this puppy has been examined by a licensed Veterinarian and is in good health with up- to- date vaccinations and has been de-wormed at 6 and 8 weeks old. A vaccination and de-worming record will be provided. Please be advised that
Chihuahua puppies can have loose stools caused by stress and that has nothing to do with good or bad breeding. It is recommended that the new owner should have a stool sample checked during the puppy's first veterinarian appointment in the new owner's care.

To qualify for this Guarantee, you must have your puppy examined by a licensed Veterinarian of your choice within 72 hours of the date of purchase and a copy of the receipt from this visit must be mailed to us immediately for our records. (Starts at shipping or time of pickup.)
Your puppy has been given the first vaccine (or up to date if puppy is older then 8 weeks old) in a series that require re-vaccination every 2-3 weeks until your puppy is 16 weeks old. Occasionally, loss of appetite, listlessness, or localized discomfort may occur. If there is severe lethargy or facial swelling, please call your Veterinarian.
Your puppy has also been treated with a free dose of flea treatment medication . This medication is the most complete parasite control. Revolution is recommended because it prevents fleas, and flea eggs, heartworms, ear mites, and ticks. It is applied once a month and its effectiveness increases the longer it is used. But, it is entirely up to you in whatever medication you choose to prevent parasites.
         Please remember that
Chihuahua puppies may still have a small open fontanel on top of their head (Like a soft spot on a newborn). This is common in Chihuahuas. The fontanel should be completely closed between 9 to 12 months of age, but in some cases may remain slightly open.

I cannot be held liable for hypoglycemia (low blood sugar), cocidiosis, giardia, open fontanel (which is common in Chihuahuas), hernias, non- descending testicles, patella luxation, or *injuries caused by falls or because puppy was physically harmed in any way. Guarantee does not cover allergies that the purchaser or family members may develop to the puppy. Size, color, bite, temperament, hair length and show quality of puppy cannot be guaranteed.

Should the puppy be diagnosed within one year of any congenital/hereditary disorder, which is considered by two unassociated Veterinarians, one being my Veterinarian if at all possible, to seriously impact the quality of life, short of Euthanasia, or require continuous medical treatment throughout the course of the puppy's life we will provide the buyer with these options:

a.)Should the buyer choose to keep the puppy and
accept partial refund, with receipt of proof of spay/neuter, signed diagnosis from licensed Veterinarian
and return of all registration Paperwork, a refund of 50% of purchase price will be issued.

b.)Should the buyer choose to return the puppy to us, we
will replace the puppy with 12- 24 months. All registration paperwork must be returned and/or transferred to me. All travel expenses are the new owner's responsibility. If the puppy
is euthanized, signed diagnosis from a Veterinarian will be required.

If at anytime you can no longer keep the Chihuahua puppy, please do not take the chihuahua to a shelter. Call us and we will take back the puppy and place it with another loving family. No refunds will be given for returning a puppy to us. We will put that puppy on our site to be adopted.

(Adopted means, "Free of charge to a qualified family")

* Please always be aware of the presence of your new Chihuahua puppy. Take care when closing doors, patio doors, car doors, etc. so that the little puppy doesn't get injured or killed by a door closing on it. Also never leave your new Chihuahua puppy on a couch, bed, table, or other elevated place without your supervision. Injuries caused by falling can happen quickly. When puppy is loose and running around, be aware little Chihuahuas can get under foot quickly and are easily stepped on, Take extra care when the puppy is around other dogs, small or large, that they not stepped on and bitten, especially on the head, (Which may still have an open fontanel). Please also be aware that chocolate, grapes (or raisins), and several houseplants can be deadly to Chihuahuas if ingested.

This puppy has been fed Eukanuba Small Breed Puppy. This food is high in fat content and lowering his intake with a lower fat content puppy food or depriving the puppy the right quantity of food may result in low blood sugar (sugar shock), which can be life threatening. Food and water must be made available to small and toy breeds at least 6 times in a 24 hour period {food and water should be available to the puppy at all times}. A puppy requires a minimum of 16 hours sleep and rest a day. An exhausted or tired puppy will neglect food to get its required rest and sleep, resulting in low blood sugar.

You will receive your puppy packet with all paperwork when you pick-up your puppy. If your puppy is being shipped, your paperwork will be attached to the top of the kennel.  Any legal litigations that may occur from this sale must be filed and occur in Greene County Missouri.

Below is the Neuter/Spay Agreement

NEUTER/SPAY AGREEMENT

The following agreement is between ______________ (breeder), hereafter referred to as "Seller", and ______________, hereafter referred to as "Purchaser".

In consideration of a purchase price of ______________, of which __________ is a nonrefundable deposit, the Seller transfers all rights in fee simple determinable, privileges and responsibilities associated with the ownership of the female/male puppy of the Chihuahua breed to Purchaser as of the date and time specified below with the following conditions subsequent:

COLOR: ____________________________ SEX: ______________

LITTER REG. NO.: ______________ DOB: ______________

MARKINGS: ________________________________________________________

SIRE: ____________________________ SIRE'S  REG. NO.: ______________

DAM: ____________________________ DAM'S  REG. NO.: ______________

Purchaser agrees to neuter/spay the puppy before it reaches one year of age. Purchaser agrees to supply Seller with a veterinarian's letter by certified mail as proof of a neuter/spay with pictures of the puppy with sutures. If Purchaser fails to neuter/spay this puppy and provide proof to the Seller by one year of age, two possible actions will be taken.

a.) rights and ownership of the dog will automatically terminate and revert back to Seller who may immediately assume possession of the dog. An extension can be requested for an additional 60 days after one year of age.

b.) registration on puppy will be destroyed and no longer obtained by Purchaser, if an extension has not been requested.

Seller's reasonable attorney's fees for recovery of the dog will be paid by the Purchaser.

It is understood by all parties to this agreement that this puppy of the above specified description is of pet quality. Purchaser acknowledges and agrees that this puppy will be sold without registration and Purchaser will not receive registration until proof of neuter/spay has been received by Seller. In the event that the Purchaser does not have the puppy properly neutered/spayed, any offspring issuing from this pet-quality puppy are not eligible for registration with the ABC, AIBC, AKC, UKC, APRI, UKCI, CKC OR ANY OTHER REGISTRY NOT MENTIONED.

When to spay/neuter: Generally this should be done when the puppy has reached at least 5-6 months for a female and 6-8 months for a male. The older the dog, the more able it will be to withstand the anesthesia. There is no need to wait for a female to have her first heat cycle before she is spayed. In fact, you can avoid the problems associated with estrus by spaying her before it occurs. There is also no need to wait for the male to become sexually mature.

Why spay/neuter: Fixing your dog prevents pregnancy and the birth of unwanted puppies. It avoids the need to restrain the dog during estrus. It keeps both sexes from roaming away from your house in search of a mate. It reduces the tendency of male dogs to urinate in the house, marking his territory. Licensing fees are also cheaper. Additionally, it avoids reproductive-related problems such as tumors, pyometra, false pregnancy, prostate infections, and old-age cancers.

Why should this dog be spayed/neutered? Any puppy sold as a pet should not be bred. This is simply for the improvement and maintenance of the breeding line for Chihuahuas. Dogs are eligible for a breeding program only if they are able to reproduce either their own quality or better quality in each successive generation. Breeding is not to be done casually nor is it a money-making venture. It is not a hobby and is very time consuming and energy demanding. By demanding that this pet-quality puppy be neutered/spayed, it avoids mass-production of average quality Chihuahuas, controls the already overblown dog population, and improves the overall fitness of the purebred line.

This does not mean that this puppy is an inferior dog. This puppy is as capable as any of its littermates of becoming a lovable, well-trained, and perfectly happy dog. We the undersigned have read, understood and agree with the terms of this contract.
