Ilkeston Rutland looks like takeing 2nd place in the league. having only lost one game this season Ilkeston are was 3rd in the league until hammering ocbrook. Ockbrook did well in batting by staying in for a long while. But just wasnt strong enough to beat the total rutland set. which was contributed by Ryan Clarke hitting a massive 6 to get him his 50.
Ilkeston Rutland are looking very strong this season having only lost one league game this season to sawley A. Rutlands opening bowler Andrew Wilkinson ripped through Breadsalls batters takeing 5 wickets in 3 overs. Well done Andy.
Luke Marriot replied well from that golden duck by opening the batting and getting 43 not out Rutland knocked off Sawley B quite well but we will be meeting there better team next week in the cup. Ryan Clarke captained the team due to Tom Wright being injured.
Thomas Wright captained his team to their first win of this season by Joe Noon and Daniel Troop getting the winning run. Tom Brandrick helped the team along with an amazing 50 he had to retire. Tom says he is looking forward to the rest of the season and feels we can win the league. Luke Marriot went for a golden duck unlucky a luke.
Martin Brandrick is joint manager with chris trueman. The club was dissapointed with wednesdays loss. we did not deserve to loose. the loss was down to sloppy feilding. But tom wright did well as captain. The team is looking forward to the next game which is spondon away this tuesday.
Thomas Wright is officaly the Under 15s captain for this year.
Tom was the captain last year and captained the team to 1 win and 7 losses. But tom is looking forward to this season and realy thinks we can do well as the others do in the club.
