IHS Baritones

2007 Marching Band Season

PLEASE READ

Until Band Camp, I will not longer be updating this site. It will only contain baritone contacts and music. TJ has made a Brass website that you can refer to for other information.      www.freewebs.com/ihsbrass

Rules for Music Folder: I will only post the music you need. Call me or e-mail me the music you want and I will  post it on the site. Otherwise no music will be posted till then.
Future Post: Once it gets towards the end of August, I will add ALL Band Camp information and post a Weekly Schedule.

Have A Great Summer!

Horn Washing Instructions

Cleaning the baritone is fairly simple. You will need a large tub/sink/something to put the baritone into, some dish soap and some cloths or cleaning snakes to get into the horn.
-Take apart the entire horn. Make sure to take out every slide, every valve and valve cap. Also the pads and cork stuff off the valves and under the metal finger pad you can unscrew from the top of the valve.
-Submerge all parts in warm, soapy water. Don't want to use to much soap, just a few drops. Clean the horn inside and out.
-When drying your horn, do the best to dry as much as you can. The inside you wont be able to get to so leave the parts and horn out to dry for a little bit. Once everything seems dry enough, put it all back together. If you have valve oil or slide grease, please use it.
-Also make sure when putting the valves back they are in the right spot, they are labeled 1,2,3. If you have any issues call me at (908)642-8453.
