Welcome Back - Spring 2005

If you managed to come look up the updated website then 'welcome back,' we are up and running again full time throughout this years tennis season. Now that we have England in the qualifying stages for the World Cup, maybe we could possibly have more players interested this year, i know that some of us will be ;) .

Update 21 April (5AM < Thats Right)

I apologise for the server being out for a while, but its not in my hands, therefore i have put this site up onto my old server space, on freewebs. I was wondering about the Summer, and if weather experts have made a prediction about the climate, we all know that last year we only popped out one heat wave at the end of May, then rain through the Summer. If anyone knows about it, let me know, because the weather obviously is nice to know about as we all depend on it for our tennis! Next Update 25th April

Update 18th April (9:00PM)

Well, today i got out my tennis racquet, it needs some new grip but thats nothing, now me and David Billington are talking about when to start, we said May, but last year i remember starting in March when it was still Winter (on Padiham Tennis Courts). Anyway, i'm prepared to start playing from now on, contact me and let me know if you're ready to begin again. As i said to some of the late starters last year, get on the courts and knock off your rust, and when some of the good players start to play again, enjoy giving them a good asswhoppin ;) Phone me, email me, do whatever and all the arrangements will be put on here so everyone will be aware that we're going back on! Next Update on 21st April.....

Team Match

Okay im not making promises but it may occur that this year, we are to have a match against players from Queens Park Tennis Courts up next to St.Theodores High School. I was recently talking to a friend of mine who often goes up there to play in the Summer, and we came up with plans for a team match against them. If you are wondering about what players will be involved, it will be probably the top five, or even 10 players in the league, it all depends on how many players they want to use to compete up there.

You? Tennis? This Year?

Righto, if you're taking to the courts this year, then if you can, let me know. Shoot me an email to tell me, and maybe ill post them up on this website, so everyone knows who is going to be on the courts this fine Summer :) My email address is: ryan.chapman88@ntlworld.com

iTennis League

Behold the first design in the iTennis project, as you would of noticed, iTennis is just an abbreviated version of Ightenhill Tennis and providing enough people are playing this year (no less than 10) then the iTennis League will go ahead, again, please let me know if you wish to participate in this league, which starts 1st June.

So, interested? Then send me an email, or let me know in person, visit the contact page for contact information.

The league will be planned out during May, and the Automated Match Submitting feature we plan to create will also go underway near to June, the feature will require you to login on this website, and submit your match information as neccessary, then once completed, our touches of magic should process that inforamtion and add points to the players in the league table, thence moving the player up or down!

I will be creating fixtures, and all the players will have copies of their own fixture list. Please note that you may play these fixtures at any time which suits you and your opponent best. If its appears that you seem inactive, you will be alerted and if the inactivity continues, i will not delete you, you will have to cope with being at the bottom ;).

The rankings will be refreshed soon! Please visit the rankings page oftenly to keep up to date with the progress of the iTennis project. Thankyou.
