If you have ever wondered why someone was to make a website on Ightenhill Tennis, here's where you find out why!

It all began in 2001 when I decided i was to try and get my head round to building a website, but i couldn't start becuase i didn't know what to build a website about, i knew i was a big fan of dance music, and DJing, so i decided to build a website on DJing! Later on in the month i found out nobody was visiting the site unless i asked them to, so i ditched it altogether and moved on to build a website called Musicworld (there are still remains of the website today). Musicworld was a website dedicated to distributing new dance music, as "teenie boppin" down at 'Genesis' got people looking for tunes they'd heard down there! Fortunately it was a success, yay! I kept it running for nearly a year, until i found that i'd been wasting my time by updating it every two days, so i ditched that aswell, infact, it became an on and off thing until February 2002!

From February, i stopped the music website and website building altogether, and i concentrated on practising for my third year from starting tennis in 2000! I really wanted to make a website about something, tennis came to mind, and when it was obvious that the game had enough players at the Ightenhill Courts, i decided to set off my own tennis website, it was under Freewebs and was very simple to make, and edit! This resulted in the first ever ITT in 2002!!!!

The 2002 ITT in summer held a player consistancy of exactly 32 players, but no prize was available! It was the time where David Billington was one of the worst players, lol, and Micheal West was one of the best!

The Ightenhill Tennis website has been running after two years, taking a break from updates through Winter time when there isn't any tennis, it was earlier this year i started using 'Dreamweaver' to build a professionally made website from scratch.

After another upgrade through this last week, i can say thanx for visiting this site to make the running of this website lasted for four years!
 

iTennis League

Behold the first design in the iTennis project, as you would of noticed, iTennis is just an abbreviated version of Ightenhill Tennis and providing enough people are playing this year (no less than 10) then the iTennis League will go ahead, again, please let me know if you wish to participate in this league, which starts 1st June.

The league will be planned out during May, and the Automated Match Submitting feature we plan to create will also go underway near to June, the feature will require you to login on this website, and submit your match information as neccessary, then once completed, our touches of magic should process that inforamtion and add points to the players in the league table, thence moving the player up or down!

I will be creating fixtures, and all the players will have copies of their own fixture list. Please note that you may play these fixtures at any time which suits you and your opponent best. If its appears that you seem inactive, you will be alerted and if the inactivity continues, i will not delete you, you will have to cope with being at the bottom ;).
