I have it in my thumb and in my big toe. Random. I can't really excersize either one of those so when it acts up I take 800mg ibuprophen and 2 extra strength tylenol (at the same time - not alternating). Per my mom's pain dr. that's the best way to knock out pain (even menstrual cramps). Works for me
Alleve does it for me. If two won't do it, I take three, but I weigh close to 300 pounds. Alleve keeps it at bay for five or six hours before I redose. Also, wet heat helps. I used to think it was just any old heat, but after I slept with a heating pad on my knee and woke up in worse pain than before, I realized it had to be wet heat. So I get in a hot shower and it really helps.
Michael osborne has arthritis in his ankles. He heard that five dried cherries a day will keep inflammation down so that it rarely hurts at all. You can use fresh cherries as well, but they are rarely in season. I'm going to try this. Mom
