We are wiped out. It's bedtime and I'm sitting waiting for the girls to fall asleep. We took the girls shooting. We drove past bush highway/87 and drove around looking for a spot to set up. All the spots were taken. Some of them really moved in w lawn chairs and tents. We had to drive further and further in and the road was becoming less and less supporting and more and more like quicksand. Finally we went around a corner and right up to our door in sandy road. We were stuck. Veronica stepped out right onto the sand. It was seriously up to her door. We drove forward and backward for absolutely no results. We jacked up the truck and put rocks and boards underthe tires. Still nothing happened. Anotherfamily drove up on a truck and they helped us for probably 2 hours until we got unstuck. They told us they just unstuck their truck right before they found us. It was such a relieving moment to drive the truck out of that rut. I got their address and told them we will mail them biscochitos. They were so nice to help us.
We set up our table and our targets. Veronica and Paige were so nervous and Matthew helped them at the beginning. They were really good. They hit those targets again and again. Matthew and I shot all the guns we brought. He sighted his hunting gun so it will work better for him on his trips. The girls had so much fun. They loved shooting. We came home and veronica and Matthew pulled out all the parts to our 12 foot tree and Paige and I made him a birthday cake. We ate dinner and sang happy birthday before we ate the cake and went to bed. We are exhausted. Good night.
